Where more than 1 team (regular) represents a region, so far only West had teams that had won trophies - RR, GT, & MI.

Now South joins West - CSK, RCB, and SRH.

(KKR, the only team from the East has won the trophy too).

RR should be considered North , along with LSG, DC and PBKS.

RR is in North.. :musicman:

RR is more West than North. North would be PBKS, DC and LSG. I would've GT, MI and RR as West.

Central (MP based team) and East (Bihar & Jharkhand) need a team as well coz they're un-represented or severely under-represented.

in domestic cricket, Rajasthan, MP, Services, Railways used to be part of Central zone.

Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Railways, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Vidarbha.

Wiki says

North India includes the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and union territories of Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Physiography of the nation ensures this.

Time for the North to win it too

PBKS,DC,LSG make it your first

All 3 are mess in their own ways.
PBKS is inexperienced and lost many players mid season, DC is well...they have Mukesh Kumar as their leader of pace attack.
LSG has the tools, they just need their players fit and firing.

Good to see a debate on Rajasthan being in North or West. Here it is considered West. For example - MSME lists Rajasthan in West too:

https://www.dcmsme.gov.in/publications/tender/Final REoI/Annexure 1.pdf

^ The above has listed all states and UTs in four zones.

PS

NEILIT (https://www.nielit.gov.in/content/west-zone), WZCC (West Zone Cultural Center) set up its first craft village in Udaipur (250 kms away from A’bad), etc.
