Chandan Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 This was a very good knock towards the end of the inning and with the frontline Pakistani bowlers bowling. 26 in 22 balls with an old ball is quite a good effort in my opinion.
veer Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 the way he hits those sixes on long on by full swing of the bat is one to watch.. he will become better and better coming at lower order..
prince40 Posted June 25, 2008 Author Posted June 25, 2008 *cough* its hong kong, hellooooooooooooo:giggle:
Temujin Khaghan Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 raina destroys hongkong and his fans are getting excited... duh! I wouldn't care even if scores a fifty against pak... ask him to play sensibly in the finals of the asia cup. that would mean something.
fineleg Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Good knock by Raina, but really its Hong Kong, and I hope Raina can continue this against better teams. Good luck to Raina and hope he can be a permanent ODI/2020 fixture for India.
theguyinallblue Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Raina has really bulked up..like Lurker.. He looks stocky.. like Rooney..
diegovegaz Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 his xcellent ton and stroke making should silence his critics now!!!!
fineleg Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Talent is there...needs big match temperament. same predicament like Tendulkar? :) Just kidding, I saw danra posted and just pulling his leg.
zubinpepsi Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 same predicament like Tendulkar? :) Just kidding' date=' I saw danra posted and just pulling his leg.[/quote'] cuz u like his legs??
Ram Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 He's probably the team's most prolific six-hitter since the IPL. Am pretty sure he will top the charts of Indian batsman with most 6s since the timeline when IPL began. The competition for places in the Indian team is almost unbelievable now. Its almost spots are up for grabs on a match-to-match basis. Just for discussion's sake, what would have happened had Ind been reduced to 100/4 in the 20th over today and Uthappa came in and scored an innings saving 100? Will Raina then be dropped for the next match? Also, what If Gony had taken 3-4 wickets in this match? Will Irfan be left out of the eleven?

He may score against Hong Kong on flat tracks, but wont do jack against a good opposition on a decent track. Uthappa should not be part of the squad.

No, he should definitely be in the squad, atleast for now. His improvisation+power is valuable in ODIs. Besides, most of the ODIs are played on flat tracks anyways.
