Is anyone from the winning team Vidarbha the future or is the match irrrelevant? We have already decided who is the "future" before/during/after the match regardless of its result?

 

In that case stop playing matches and decide players based on net play and speed guns.

You know how ROI get assembled right? Some random players from random teams with no real  togetherness. Even for experienced teams they need some game time together. So beating a well gelled unit is not going to be straight forward for these assembled teams.

But that Vidarbha team won the Ranji and now the Irani and not a single person from their team has ever played Test cricket. Now nobody on there is the "future" - then cancel this whole game if it is for the benefit of ROI  players no matter what Vidarbha does.

Harsh Dubey was already part of the Indian plans if i am right. Yash Thakur and Danish Maelwar have great potential. I expect both of them to do be part of the set up soon.  Harsh Dube picked what? 69 wickets last season alone.

Yash Thakur is a serious contender. Proper fast bowler.
Harsh Dubey is another one, but he has tough competition against likes of Sai Kishore, Manav Suthar (who played for ROI) and Nishant Sindhu (A team).
ROI is already formed based on the best potential players from all teams.

Apart from Fast bowling  India has insane bench strength in every other department.

Yeah, fast bowling and fast bowling allrounders, both.

Harsh Dubey and Manav Suthar are proper left arm spin bowling allrounders. Not darters. But loop & spin.
Both are good enough to replace Jadeja in 2 year time.

Nishant sindhu is another one but he is more of a batsman and a part time left arm darter.

Batting in test is also not that great, without fast bowlers you cannot win anything.

 

They had tough time chasing 146 against a third class bowling attack of Pakistan in t20s where they were supposed to be the strongest .

Fast bowling is most difficult art in cricket,this is why you don't see good fast bowlers apart from the first choice pacers even from SENA countries

You just have to give easy games to your bench guys to let them breathe in competitive environment and learn the art of surviving and battling with the best

England is struggling to replace Anderson,Broad,they have Archer but he does blow hot and cold

Australia will be interesting to see how they cope with retirements of their famous trio

SA has best attack but it's mostly around Rabada

NZ they do have Will Rourke ,he's young though and promising
