Yar this is not an issue in itself for India to be involved. But 2 things have gone wrong so far imho.

1. Modi's Israel trip just before the war.

2. USA invoking logistics agreement to dock warships on indian ports.

We want to stay as neutral as possible.

We haven't allowed American ships to dock in our ports.

But it gets to be sticky later.

The longer this lasts, regional players will be involved.

Warship IRIS DENA sinking just after a full fledged diplomatic event in Vizag is a significant moment in our history.

Things will never be the same.

Also don't listen watch that MacGregor videos on twitter , they have little rationale to what is actually being done. The known guy is a Russian plant.

You know what bro....time and time again it has been proven that countries actually punch above their weight when the situation becomes dire.

When the situation is good, everyone take things lightly and focus on irrelevant topics.

There was a Hindi Movie Shaurya...in which an officer says "At the height of 40000 feet in extreme bone chilling cold, my fingers are on the trigger...that gives you freedom to be modern, to be philosophical, to be a lover. The moment I am not there, you'll be the one up at those mountains".

Its the same thing here, Iran doesnt have much opportunities, and are heavy sanctioned...so less distraction.

  • They do have oil that they sell to China
  • They have imposed an inflation of atleast 20 percent in the last decade. Last few years it was above 40. Bankrupt Pakistani bros have 6 percent.
  • They have around 800k religious police called basij which has suppressed the population for so long

Atleast in my humble opinion, there is nothing extra ordinary about Iranian regime. For looking "brave" at international stage they have sucked the economic prospects of their population.

Their military is not so great after all. For example, they were humbled by pook-land in a recent conflict

"According to the Atlantic Council, Pakistan's strikes against Iran were "well-measured" and left Iran "dazed and shocked." The Council goes on to state that Iran reluctantly agreed to de-escalate because it feared a military humiliation in the event of armed conflict with Pakistan due to Pakistan's traditional Western and Chinese military aid"

The issue with this is that we are firmly into the American nexus.

No more third alignment.

Yeah NAM is done.. we are firmly into American camp.  This is the new reality.

Anna.

Shia's in India are very decent human beings. I have never heard of a Shia who was into proletcyzing and all the other **** that the Sunni guys do.

Just don't fall into the trap that all muslims are same.

Bro, I am aware of it. Shias are one of the moderate sect in Islam.

Lucknow mostly people are Shias, yet hardly you will hear religious riots. Unlike Bhopal or Hyderabad.

Shias are more conservative.

Moderate means, they are progressive, pay more attention to education, are less "rigid" in their political affluence.

Maybe its coz of Sunni dominance on one side. Lucknow is a clear example in comparison to Bhopal or Hyderavad.

While they were guest going home, if people got no statement from any country in world on Maduro or Khamenei, Why do you want GoI to make statement here. Its might is right. Moove on.

What statement you want them to make?

Sunk in international waters.

Why did this ship not dock in india itself. Was clearly going to get pinged.
