flamy Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Total respect mate! :two_thumbs_up: Not even one boundary hit off him. And as I noted some 3 days back, Dhoni looks upon Viru as a genuine bowler now. :icflove: Even Viru didnt give any boundary/ :yay:
Cricketics Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 veeru and ojha bowled wel. i just hope ojha gets more and more games. he has bowled his heart out in past 2 seasons of fc cricket.
Ram Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 A word of praise for Pragyan Ojha For a guy playing a big final in only in his 3rd match, he bowled with magnificent control . Cant recollect one long-hop or a wide one outside off-stump. Well done Pragyan! :hatsoff:
flamy Posted July 6, 2008 Author Posted July 6, 2008 I was dissing him in IPL. I'll gladly go stuff my face in humble pie now. :D
The Outsider Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Baah! With our expectations set by Chawla most would do better.
satishg Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Ojha is the biggest find of this series IMO..he is an ideal folly to bhajji in ODIs and can be a very good test prospect as well..but as far as ODIs are concerned v need him in the team..he is jus gonna improve from here on..good stuff Ojha :two_thumbs_up::icflove:
Dirty_South Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Not a SINGLE 4 of his entire spell. How many times has this happened ? Any stats ?
Sachinism Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 How many times has this happened ? Any stats ? Must have happened a few times probably but the situtation, the way jaya was batting, to come on and bowl like that is awesome
DomainK Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 How many times has this happened ? Any stats ? Happened twice in the same match....Sehwag also did not concede a boundary and I am sure must have happened a few more times as well....but not on a flat pitch like this.
jf1gp_1 Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 lets see how long you all like ojha. i remember every one on this very board going ga ga over chawla after the ODIs in england.
flamy Posted July 6, 2008 Author Posted July 6, 2008 Not a SINGLE 4 of his entire spell. and Mendis too. :D
Sachinism Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 bumpppppp I am becoming a real fan of Ojha. I used to like Murali Kartik for similar reasons, they don't mind tossing the ball up and inviting the batsmen to hit. I feel Ojha's height gives him a good advantage as he is able to extract extra bounce. I always knew he would be handy against a team of sloggers. Really hope he can one day make it to the test team, but he may need to change up length for that. For the moment I feel we have a good wicket taking spinner. Bhaji seems to be a a bowler to keep the runs down, though he did bowl well today, gave a bit of air, was able to get drift as well. Unlucky not to get a wicket, I guess he'll have a word with Yuvi later
cowboysfan Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 like i said in the "squad thread" Ojha is getting real turn and bounce too.nobody can go after him and not risk losing his wicket.our spinners are our real match winners.
graphic23 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Yeah Bhajji did bowl well today, and he was trying to do different things, and at the end, still wasn't very expensive. Unlucky to not get that wicket off Yuvraj. Ojha bowled extremely well today. He can be a terrific test bowler. I haven't watched or followed him in FC so I can't tell but his attacking style of bowling makes me think that he'd be a terrific addition to our squad. Perhaps Salil can comment more on this issue.
King Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Terrific one for the future too. Awesome threesome spinners in Harbhajan, Mishra and Ojha. Way to go....
gult Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 He consistently got lot of turn in almost every match that he played. He seems like a real cool head like MSD. Even in the pressure matches like the IPL final, he was very impressive. Just thinking, if not for the IPL, how many would have known Ojha outside the Hyderabad ranji team!
