Gollum Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 Good comeback, now finish the job. We have competed much better than what English ladies did last year.
deepdynamo Posted March 7 Posted March 7 India will lose this match but solid red ball experience for our team against the best team on the planet.

Tillu Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Pratika Rawal is not an FTB. She survived till now in a pink ball test when none of the other batters couldn't put bat on ball.
vvvslaxman Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I think on will talk or some other Australia podcast i heard before the test that there is a massive gulf between Australia and India in Tests. It is proved right. May be in Indian conditiosn we might do better. Annabel sutherland actually moves the ball as well.

Pratika rawal is very consistent in ODI for a reason. She has a very good reaction game. She never commits. She plays every single ball on merit. She has good technique too. Tillu 1
vvvslaxman Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I didn't know this was a pink ball test. Our women are obviously going to struggle.

We are very good at home, thrashed Aus, Eng and RSA in last 3 years. Pink ball is a different challenge, one we aren't accustomed to. Ultimate_Game 1
Gollum Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 Crux of the matter is both our men and women batters find it very difficult against pink ball. Maybe Jemi was trying to disrupt the bowler's channel. We would also lose in red ball, but gap wouldn't be this much. Only disappointment in this tour is our lack of fight in the ODI series, we never troubled them in any of those games.
Gollum Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 Pratika Rawal has very good technique, and temperament. There is a reason she was backed by TM in the ODI WC. Deepti Sharma has been our biggest disappointment, she didn't do well even in WPL. Richa has also gone missing for most of this tour. Harman had her struggles. You aren't competing against this Aussie team with so many out-of-form players.
Gollum Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 (edited) Sayali is a big gain for us, this was her debut match in any format. She swung the ball like prime Praveen Kumar, she has that lovely snap of the wrist at time of delivery. Look at this ball to Voll. Edited March 8 by Gollum
Gollum Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 Avoiding innings defeat in Aus is better than what other teams have done.

I hope we may also find on good Women left arm pacer one day.
vvvslaxman Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I think Jemima is trolled and targetted by social media trolls for some ulterior reasons by sharing it with multiple fake ids.
