Notable internationals - Jaiswal, Jurel, Tilak, Bishnoi

 

2022 - Won without losing a match

 

2024 - Won all matches except the final

 

2026 - Won without losing a match

 

Basically a time will come when all the batches will link up somewhere in the early 2030s with the 2016 batch at the last period of their prime.

Karthik Tyagi should have played for India in all formats by now.Something went wrong somewhere, I hope he is not lost forever.

Injuries, I am sure. Some guys just have bad luck with nagging injuries that hinder their development.

Cricket is a highly competitive game in a country like India.

Either you stay in limelight or you'll just fade away, and unlike Cinema there is not much time to make a comeback.

 

Tyagi had extremely high potential, had the ability to bowl almost every delivery you can ask for. But injuries delayed his development...now the competition is high.

 

Mayank, Ashok, Harshit, Gurnoor...they are ahead in the race. 3/4 are handy capable batters as well, while Mayank, though injury prone has shown what Tyagi could have been.

Then behind them are likes of Yudhvir, Gurjapaneet, Hangargekar, Aaqib Nabi etc. You cant rule out Umran as well, who knows one blistering season in IPL and he can leapfrog others.

 

Tyagi needs a long season and overs under his belt. Look at Ashok Sharma...before the season he was nowhere in the radar and suddenly courtesy of his performance in SMAT, VHT & Ranji is representing India A for T20 Warm Up games. So close to the national calling.

I agree that is why I feel all is not lost for Tyagi, one good season, he will be back in contention.He should still have the tools to succeed.

 

Good fast bowlers are very rare in Indian cricket. I hope he is being guided by someone decent.

 

I had such high hopes on him when I saw him first, defending 4 or 5 runs in last over.I don't remember that match though he was running in hard, it was joy to watch.
