A diverse and a discipline deficient society will always cost a LOT to upkeep and maintain. This is the reason why you see any world class service/goods costing more in indian than rest of the world. Cars/Hotels/Electronics etc.,.

Govt must come down and reduce the wages of govt jobs by 80%. Only then these youth will go for private sector jobs.

It's so depressing to see what's going with ISRO..

Govt doesn't spends anything on R&D... Babus are running rampant with no accountability.

Private sector has zero interest in R&D itself.

India needs Major reforms and sooner.

The journey of being a Mumbaikar is incomplete without swimming in flood waters. If you havent experienced it yet, kuch din to guzariye Mumbai mein

Mumbai is a gone case, majority of places are mushrooming haphazardly and due to presence of western ghats, the rain impact will always be on the higher side.

Tier 1 cities are operating beyond their maximum capacity. They cant be expanded anh further. B tier cities are the way to go.

The issue is lack of trust between people. In general, more the consideration for the well being of fellow citizen, more is the discipline and the place relaxing and happy to live.

Some people have taken the nationalist chooran to the maximum. On twitter they are defending these selfish oligarchs.

The kattar hindu faces jihadi crowds, while the dhando makes profit by selling weapons to both.  There is a reason why japanese considered these dhando's as bottom of the bottom people.

Slum culture by migrants is there to stay, like all around the world. Slum culture will not go away. It should though. Migrants will be all over the world and not all of them are civilized.

Those whose 5 or more generations have been in Mumbai won't do this. These are migrants.

Demolish the slums and huge percentage of the migrants won't afford to stay in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad and they will go back from wherever they came from. These migrants can only afford the rent of slums or rent of apartments. They are not in a position to own legal properties in non slum localities.

Many commenting on how to solve Mumbai problems are not even domicile residents of Mumbai. I often see ridiclous comments posted on electronic media and it is better to ignore them than fall to their level of knowledge about Mumbai. From their negligible  knowledge about the city one can easily identify that most of such people have not even been in Mumbai for more than 3 to 4 years. Surprisingly these genius peoole have solution to Mumbai without knowing the city in itself well.

Won't comment on other metros like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi etc because I havent stayed there and therefore do not have a complete understanding of those other big cities.

Not swimming,  but I am actually enjoying the incessant rains and its good. Such a pleasant climate here after the summers and the mood is so good. Weather wise these last 3 days were the best I have had without affecting my daily routine. In fact the last three days were best for me in 2025.I hope rain falls like this for another month.

That all passengers trapped  in monorail incident yesterday were rescued, made the evening more happier. Such a good news that all were rescued out safely.

Mumbai has seen 800 mm rains in four days. Most places see this amount of rain in an year.
