His slower ball is really good. How he bowls otherwise needs to be studied. Shakib is young can improve on pace and skill, majority of his deliveries were in 138-141 kmph. He has white-ball skills. But 1 game is v.small sample need to check what he does in upcoming games, he has issues with bowling Nb and Wb so has he fixed that, was bowling some v.good balls in lsg-practice games too but then followed with nb or wb. wb is okay if there is a plan backing it, like if bowling wide outside off for a leg-side dominant player than its good. In a match where PBKS scored 254 runs, he had figures of 2-25. He has performed admirably, and is only 24 y.o. Should he be in the scheme of things for Team India? Such bowler will have longer prime. And bowlers who are just t20 specialist like rasik , sandeep,Ashwini let them play ipl and keep them ready as stop-gap incase there is a series where they are needed or may be if somewhere if conditions are helpful. Ashok/tyagi<-- All 3 formats Prince <-- White-ball both Odis and t20is as 3rd bowler can be 2nd bowler when top bowlers are resting or not avialalble Sakib<-- Has lot of t20 skills , have hyper-extenstion bowls at good pace 137-141 kmph which can be increased <-- can be x-factor Praful <-- not sure of him but can work in IPL Kamboj/Krishna<-- Not sure where to fit them, both look ordinary at intnl level. Ultimate_Game Posted April 26 Posted April 26 There's Bumrah and then there's Mohsin Khan. These are the top two white-ball bowlers we have in the country. Mohsin can hit that awkward length which is difficult to score of, is accurate and gives no freebies, hits mid 140s and consistently is around 140-142 kph mark. He was able to bowl a maiden to Sooryavanshi which nobody has ever done. The guy averages around 20, ER of 8 and a SR of 16! He should be an automatic pick in white-ball cricket if fit. Nobody else even comes close to him. Imagine him bowling in tandem with Bumrah! BacktoCricaddict 1
