X Feed algorithm is so creepy. This is the video I got on my TL. What a coincidence that it chose to feed this video based on the browser topic chosen.

I always get ads on X based on a conversation I had at home privately. We were talking about purchasing treadmill and immediately I got ads on treadmill on X.

I have to keep the mic on, because I need it to post. I used the speech to text feature of the keyboard. X is a creepy listener. FML. @Vickydev

This is nothing. People are now getting paranoid that our phones could actually read our minds. So many times when I think of something, the same thing just randomly appears on social media apps without me typing anything on the phone about the topic. Read this reddit thread.

I too thought it was just a coincidence initially and didn't care much about it. But this has been happening repeatedly for the last 3 years. This is now gaining traction everywhere and I was a little relieved that I am not the only one. Saw similar experiences from people on Twitter as well recently.

Until recently Apple and other manufacturers were creating head phones and ear pieces which could read your thoughts if you wear them. Whats stopping them from using some kind of unclassified technology which could read our minds without any wearables.

You type and forget. Or talk to someone about it

There are many occasions where I kept my thoughts to myself and didn't speak to anyone else.

Many a time I thought it was just predictive analytics and suddenly out of the blue it recommends a video or shows an Ad about something which just came to my mind.

Likely a coincidence. Even humans struggle to read other humans. To read someone you need to pay attention to both verbal and non verbal communications.

In future, what you say may happen but I am not sure that phones can read minds at the moment. If so, it should be able also be able to ask you “do you want to call this person” when you think about that person.

I and so many other people on the internet who share similar concerns would be glad to be proven wrong. It bothered me a little initially, but now I've gotten used to it.

Yes, there can be conspiracy theories and many times recurring coincidences can make us feel as if the phone is doing something unusual.

To be able to read minds, the phone would also need to be extremely powerful and capable. Most phones today can struggle with even multi tasking.

Unwarranted thread to create stereotypes based on limited knowledge about a situation.

You mean it picked up from your laptop or phone while X was open?
