if that guy adds her in Instagram kind , she can message him asking him not to add her again ..

usually guys will stop if there is no proper response from the other end ( thats what i use to do :p:  )

The fact is that flight attendants run into tons of interested people - people at the airport, people who sneak into galley to strike a conversation, who leave their numbers on napkins, at times even their colleagues, and so on.

They are trained to give a measured response and smile.

I have been on tons of flights across the globe but hardly seen any flight attendant talk to someone excessively as they have tons of stuff to do, their job. They remain professional.

Additionally, flight attendants have a reputation to maintain in front of their colleagues too, so they are unlikely to engage in a relatively unprofessional behaviour of engaging a passenger in small talk for long.

So your cousin has nothing to worry about. She has been trained on how to handle such situations.

The guy would probably find someone else on another flight or someone at a cafe to talk to. Some passengers act friendly. In some cultures, people remain talkative to not appear rude to someone they think is doing a good service - a way of saying thank you, your efforts are being noticed. Once he stepped out of the plane, he probably moved on from everything in it.

Also being a flight attendant is a thankless job with people demanding perfection where excellent service is expected so met with silence not appreciation, while a mistake is highlighted beyond its scope - including why is the coffee cold?! But they still keep patience and keep their smile on. At times, some people may want to acknowledge their effort by remaining friendly to show that FAs are not “invisible”.

On the other hand, flight attendants are human too so they do come across someone they like and act warmly enough or signal subtly to show their interest! But that would be a different story.

So a cousin of mine works as a flight attendant for Air India. The other day a seemingly well mannered bloke asked her to come over and tried to have a conversation.

Initially he seemed likeable when they both spoke about their love for 1960s Japanese films. But soon it became rather confusing when he was claiming how Washington DC should open and somebody named Sai sudama should bat at 4, the guy wouldnt stop yapping after that. She soon however made an excuse and got out of there.

She was hoping to avoid him when the flight landed but the guy stuck around till everyone was out and slowly walked over probably to talk about Impact subs, so she jumped in said "Thank You"..but before she could finish saying "for flying with Air India" the guy exclaimed "My Pleasure" and walked out smiling

Now she is concerned if he mistook her, and is probably thinking she liked that chat about some lost wolves?! Truth is she would rather forget that little encounter quicker than my dog forgets she's had her breakfast.

Now comes the worrying bit.. she caught him taking a glimpse at her name tag.:fear1:

Woah.. Is he going to go out looking for her and talk about how fair play points are awarded?! I told her she is paranoid, no sane bloke knows how the fair play system works....

But she isnt convinced, if he was really interested he would have talked about SRK the actor not some apparent con artist from Tamilnadu.:frusty:

Yeah that got me thinking, maybe he really just wants to talk about wides being reviewed etc. I knew that was trouble, there's no good coming from that discussion.

She's really scared now, how does she avoid being discovered by this guy...I quickly asked her to delete her socials.

But then again what if he contacts the airline. He (or someone he knows) could even be seeking advice from a bunch of nerds who jerk off on fast bowlers.:wp87:

She's had enough stalkers to deal with before, not a new one now fgs..

P O T Y candidate.

Also the original post is an anti-thesis of romance, probably highlighting the idea of romance from the perspective of those who get arranged married or fall in love with long time acquaintances (likely more of a situationship or an attempt to build a safe partnership than actually romance  )

I’m curious to know what did they discuss about having two strategic timeouts when there are drinks breaks as well. Is it only to play ads during the timeouts while the players pretend to have a strategic discussion with the coaching staff?

Ati uttam kataksh post.  This is a story that has a hidden backstory or a metaphor off character role-play.. I think. Jay Shah is the airline passenger in the story, and the flight attendant is  the common  IPL fan like all of us. We will always be haunted by Jay Shah stalking  us with more scams about cricket in the end. Makings of a great psychological thriller  novel. You should work on it.

I am someone who would not even assume that married people are automatically in love with each other. Many times, they are roommates, a relationship that has turned into a partnership, a transactional relationship.

At times, it is more likely that two unknown people communicating verbally and/or non-verbally with each other on the plane feel more spark than a married couple, appearing happy, on the same plane.

Learned love (arranged marriages, long time acquaintances) is not necessarily the “real” love. Many (or even most) people complete their lives never experiencing the deepest love. They judge “love” based on the surface level experiences.

Deepest love usually override logic. Where emotions > logic. It usually destroys everything (especially in you). It usually is transformative.

Guys its just a parody thread as @BacktoCricaddict said, there's no real story here.

Just something tongue in cheek @zen, hope you dont mind

Not at all. :thumb:

I knew it based on how you described the passenger - 60s Japanese films, Sai at 4, Wolves, etc.

X Feed algorithm is so creepy. This is the video I got on my TL. What a coincidence that it chose to feed this video based on the browser topic chosen.

I always get ads on X based on a conversation I had at home privately. We were talking about purchasing treadmill and immediately I got ads on treadmill on X.

I have to keep the mic on, because I need it to post. I used the speech to text feature of the keyboard. X is a creepy listener. FML. @Vickydev
