What is Dickwella doing in A team, the guy has played 50+ test matches.

All the other Asian teams put experienced players in their A teams for some silverware which is lacking in senior cricket.

India uses this as developmental program and not the "second best" 15.

I am fine with them playing experienced guys. India  A team needs bigger challenge.  INdia is A team only in batting department. Even there it is Semi A. Bu tin bowling it is more like D team

Beating a useless team in A games will give us false sense of security.  This is good. I have no issues with that.

Lmao this useless tri series got some hype now ..

If India SL final happens it will be v spicy

Just take Vaibhav out this would have gotten no attention. India A played Australia A and SA A recently. We hardly had 30 plus page discussion.

Those were not televised.. if this wasn't televised nobody would care that much.

India A vs Australia A was v high quality series considering the players that were on display.

BCCI doesn't makes an effort to broadcast home List A games

1.  A-team series are for developing new players and testing their mettle at a higher level. Winning is just a by-product.

2.  India has picked 4 or 5 bits and pieces players and 2 tuk-tuk batters in the 11. They should have no future in ODIs as they are not up to the mark.

So, it is good that these poor selections are getting exposed via these losses.

And SL playing seniors is good from our point of view too. a ) Our young-uns are getting to play against a better opposition. b )  SL is not developing good players for their future.

Also captaincy is getting exposed. TIlak is not a viable option.

I just hope that the A-team management is not messing with Vybhav's head and trying to get him to "adapt" to ODI batting. He should be given a free rein to blast the bowlers like it is a T20 with 10 overs of PP instead of 6.  Pacing the innings, taking it deep and all that is for other batters. This guy can take the match away from the opposition before the PP is over. He doesn't adapt to ODIs, ODIs must adapt to him. Anything else is wasting a once-in-a-lifetime talent.

He has already exhibited these traits in the age group level ODIs.  He should stick to his natural instinct which is basically putting the any ball in his hitting arc and playing with soft hands against balls that are not in his zone.
