We can afford to experiment in the 20 ODIs this year. Can try Gill at 3, Kohli at 4. Am not convinced Shreyas is a solution on those pitches. 

 

Rohit has insane PR and Mumbai lobby behind him, he isn't going anywhere.

Yea.. That guy is  embodiment of positivity. Few things that was not in his control  hurt his confidence. Vast majority of the overseas experts rate Jaiswal above everyone else including Gill.

India should take sanju as second keeper ishan should be our first choice can't take a choker like kela for wc

There is no threat to the Indian team and the places where the matches are due to be held is not in any of the affected areas. Obviously there is general  anti migrant sentiment due to the recent attack by a somalian asylum seeker but you can find that sentiment  in other areas in the UK also.

Ireland has been in news for attacks on Indian community especially in last one year or so... Many clips have gone viral in past year or so.

It isn't as bad as Australia 15 years ago but still.. I guess there will be precautions in place

Sooryavanshi will come in at some point if he is able to perform well in T20I first. but that does not still take out Samson. Injury, from dip, rest/rotation etc can happen.  The pool of ODI batters is smaller than T20I batters. Except Gill, there is no fixed spot in ODI yet after ROKO leave. Samson, Ishan, Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Shreyas, Sooryavanshi are all candidates. May be they will try Abhishek and Tilak at some point even. Hell, I wont be surprised of Ruturaj makes some games. 

 

This is not the time for Samson to leave ODI (That's what I was originally replying to). Samson has a very strong chance to play decent number of games.

None of KL, Rohit or Kohli should go to the WC. WC is no place for 40 year olds and has beens given they couldn't win in their prime. They had enough chances and it's time for youngsters just like T20s.

 

You can't keep out Jaiswal and Ishan out for the so called "experience" when youngsters are in their prime and performing better.
