We cannot win with two 40 year olds plus KL Rahul in the team. Period. We've seen what Ishan is doing and what youngsters can do in the recent WT20. Yet we're carrying has beens to the WC despite them not winning even in their prime. Selectors and BCCI should've the balls to say their time is up and kick them out. We've likes of Ishan Kishan, Sai, Jaiswal and Sooryavanshi waiting in the winggs. nevada 1

Ishan Kishan is also a great addition. Manav should have been played in place of Sundar Ishan is a beast and should be in the team. Have been pushing for him for both T20s and ODIs but imagine Kohli coming back and taking his spot

It was our bowlers and Bumrah's fault for not winning the ICC tourneys It was our bowlers who failed to chase 239 against kiwis in 2019 SF and who collapsed for 240 on a patta in a final. This is the intellect of an average cricket fan in India and why you see folks targeting Bumrah time and again and questioning his "commitment" when our so called batting stars laid an egg in knockouts consistently. Bowling teams out for 55, 83, 126, 192, 199 on road wickets is somehow was a negative performance from our bowlers lol rollingstoned and Ultimate_Game 1 1

Well one King last week admitted that he had "I had imposter syndrome" . It is a polished way of saying "I am selfish and self-centered". You forget team's cause. You focus only on prove about yourself. Edited June 18 by vvvslaxman Ultimate_Game 1

Yeah, we would have not scored even 150 if he was not there but you are not ready for that conversation. Only a fool would believe that Pandya did better than Kohli that day.

I asked you earlier and you didn't answer. Simple question. Who's more responsible for the failure to win the WC and ICC trophies for more than a decade?

He also contained runs. 5 runs 2 balls. Why Kohli is low in this list. Kohli's innings was going to be judged based on the result. Because between over no.2 and over no.17 Kohli's runs were 36 runs in 43 balls. After first over Kohli 14(5) From that point till 17th over Kohli 36(43) Can you add the two numbers? 14+36 = 50. Imposter syndrome kicked in. He failed the entire world cup. He chose final to justify "he is not over-rated" by scoring a 50.

Easy, all the players who failed to make any sort of impact in ICC trophies. Definitely not the ones who were highest run scorers in Ct14 final, CT 14 semifinals, Wt20 16 sf (187 str rate), Wc 23 semis and finals, CT 25 semis and finals, T20 WC semis and finals. You got to be a 3rd class hater to blame those guys for our failure.

Which group was more responsible for the failure? For me batters hold the bigger share of the blame. I'm asking you. The only hater I see is you and the likes of you who bagged Bumrah and bowlers for batters shytting the bed. Unable to chase 239 in 2019 and then putting up 240 on a patta in 2023, and then blaming Bumrah, Shami and the bowlers. cricspirit 1

Bumrah is one of the greatest cricketer to come from India. I do not deal in hatred, in 2015 wc semis and CT finals 17 the bowlers shat the bed while in 2019 wc it was the batters who did it. 23 WC was a failure for both departments. The point is why do i need to blame one department? The team structure was flawed and that’s why we did not win.

We would not have won without Kohlis knocks, which makes his contribution significant. Lol at Pandya, that Miller wicket he got was on a full toss and it was Skys brilliant effort that stopped us from losing the match on that ball itself. Even the Klaasen wicket which he got was on a wide nothing delivery that Klassen thre the kitchen sink at. Instead of analysing on paper, please watch the match too. Also even in this match Kohlis batting impact is same as Axar Patel which tells us both of them were our best batters.
Stan AF Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Frankly (I) can't give a damn or two shhhiiitss about this WC. I just can't. I'm more interested in either hitting a treble (hatrick winning the 2028 T20 WC) or even better the Olympic games gold medal. Sorry just can't care much.

putrevus Posted June 19 Posted June 19 I still see morons trying desperately to downplay Kohli's knocks. Kohli is living rent free in their heads. He does not need any validation from these morons. He will play in 2027 world cup and he will be again the most important batsman. If bowlers do their jobs, he will do his part.

Washington Sundar bowling the last ball. Let's see if he can back up his crucial innings of 48 (30) with a winning delivery ... Wide dart ball. Rabada swings hard at it. Mistimes goes high to long off, Kohli gets his hands under it .... and dear Lord, it bounces off his fingertips and rolls into the fence .. SA WINS!! World: Kohli should have caught that. Putrevus: Washington Sundar useless bits pieces. Should have bowled a better ball so the catch would be more catchable. Can't bat. Can't bowl. Choker ;-) Edited June 19 by BacktoCricaddict Ultimate_Game and putrevus 2

We were 34/3 at one time and things were looking bleak before Kohli put his foot down and rebuilt the innings. 170+ has never been chased in a t20 finals. Stop dicing the stats according to your own whims and fantasies. Even in espn impact metric his batting impact points were same as Axar. Which means he was our best batsman in that match. THE MOTM in the finals was cherry on top and all do kaudi ke haters are still crying over that.
