The guy maintains that mid 130's pace with wobble for a long period of time.  That's good enough on tracks with some help for Pacers

This is such a shambolic performance from Australia.  Labu is the biggest freeloader. 3 years no centuries. averaging 26.02.He had serious luck when he was in form. Even Head averagaes only 40 in the last 3 years. But he won some matches. Smith averages 44.51 in the last 3 years. Best from their side.

Test match is all about repetability without too much experiment. Prasdham just could not hold his line and got battered in England.

They came close in  an odd game in Sanga era.. but that's about it.  India at worst drew games with them in India.

CT17 win by Pak is more fluke than this win by BD. You can't fluke test matches. BD if they start winning consistently against teams like Zim, WI, SL and Pak they could soon become a mid level team from the current minnow status.

Goes worse than that. Smith is performing but nowhere close to what he was prior to his ban. 

 

Labu is inept for international cricket. Head is a hit and miss player. 

 

And that's the core of their batting line-up. All the other players they have are ones who are trying in and trying to make a mark. 

 

Cameron Green is stuck in a dilemma on whether he needs to be a batsman or an all-rounder. 

 

They've got a decent keeper but so do most of the other teams. Who the * are beau Webster and Jake weatherald. 

 

That's before I get to the bowling. Three of their 4 frontline bowlers are 37+. The replacement for the seamers is Boland who is 37+. 

 

All teams face a churn but it seems that Australia put off making a phased exit for their bowlers and you are finding that 3-4 of them need to be replaced. And it isn't easy to replace them when you have a 20 test season coming up.

Australia played pathetic, but wonder if it is also partly due to playing in "unfamiliar" conditions in Darwin. When Australia play BGT, Ashes or other high profile tournaments, they always play it in familiar conditions of MCG/SCG/Gabba/Perth/Adelaide. Never seen them play outside these 5 grounds against Eng/Ind. 

 

 

 

Maybe this is what Ashwin was trying to say as well. India play in 20+ stadiums at Home. If they suddenly play a test at Guwahati or Ranchi, India will feel like how Australia feel now.
