Domestic Batsmen to watch for Test potential?

Yash Rathod seems like a compact player based on few videos out there and has a fantastic FC record. Wonder why he hasn't got an opportunity with the A team.

 

Tilak Varma has good FC records as well and we have seen what he can do in LOIs in internationals. Rinku Singh too has a great FC record. Why are these guys not in contention for a Test spot?

Any other folks to watch out for in the upcoming Duleep Trophy?

I see two spots in the Indian team that are not quite cemented right now: 3 & 6

 

No 3 spot: Padikkal got a big hundred and will have to show consistency to keep it. Sai Sudharsan is not very convincing at that spot with his wild wafts outside off and leg stump.

 

No 6 spot: Jadeja bats here sometimes when we want to have more bowling options, but can be occupied by a specialist batsman as well. Jurel has been played here in many Tests and not been very successful yet and Sarfaraz doesn't have team management support.

 

Rest of the spots seem to be taken.

Vaibhav will certainly be future Sehwag. This guy has enough maturity even at this age. WHen he gets to 18 or 19 he will be far better in terms of temperament.
