Irani Cup is the most pointless match. Why schedule WI series along with Asian games AND A team series

Irani Cup  should have happened right before before BGT and likes of Pant Jurel Sai Paddi Jaiswal Gurnoor should have played that game right before the test matches.

Four day A series is important gauge for young players rather than a pointless bi lateral series, hope selectors get it right

I am fine with WI series as we have sufficient players for each format.  But scheduling can be done smartly.

 

Irani trophy before BGT,  India A series of NZ should be happening during T20 series with no overlap with ODI series in NZ.

 

Australia A home 4day  FC series timing is only good timing I think.

They should make sure Jaiswal Paddikal Jurel Pant Reddy Gurnoor maybe Prasidh Siraj to play at least 2/3 4day games in NZ.   If it means skipping ODI series then so be it.

 

Prasidh Gurnoor can skip 2-3 ODIs in NZ I think.  Let Bumrah play ODIs only before Test series

We are not playing enough ODI series' before the World Cup.   Both BD and WI ODI series should have happened, T20I's cancelled and a second string squad sent to the Asian Games. 

 

Everything should be geared towards next year's World Cup

BD series is happening as per Tamim but next year either in early 2027 or before Asia Cup 2027 in BD.  Cricinfo said BCCI and BCB are trying to find suitable window next year.  

 

Idk why BCCI is taking those 3 games of Asian Games that seriously.  We do have sufficient ODIs before WC I think.  There is a proposed ODI series in SA just before WC too which will be cleared post FTP release in November.

 

It's just that squad is probably going to be devoid of youth but with same old names like 2007.

Yeah it should not be on the eve of the World Cup- that's my point .   If seniors start getting exposed, BCCI and some idiotic fans will say it's too late to replace them. 

 

Need to expose them as early and as much possible.  If they sink, replace them ruthlessly, if not then fair enough. 

 

Asian Games is a completely pointless distraction. Serves no purpose. Just send a C team

asia games is t20 -- a completely diff team , but they are sending the full strength side not sure why 

Irani throphy is domestic why is that an issue, it best vs rest 

A tours are to develop newer players.

 

Do not think there is a mess, it lots of domestic and Intnl crkt yes bt its not all intl crkt and same format.  Next intnl tour is NZ thats it.

 

Not sure why its projected as mess ??

 

Ind is already out of the WTC race, prepare for upcoming wc , there is no distraction there, Only bhumraha and Iyer are T20i team players in Odi side, may be couple of spinners but In SA  you will play jst 1 spinner

Looks like that series will happen just before WC as rumoured.  TM wants that series just before the WC

Most of them are there only for the paychecks and put in the work for the sake of it. Things will improve only if these freeloaders are kicked out. But that would mean a comprehensive change I'm afraid.
