"Let me ask you one thing: South Africa lost to Namibia, and India lost to Ireland. Has cricket ended there as well? Yes, one thing is important: whoever we need here, we will definitely bring in. If someone is not clicking or not performing, then what can we do? Every match and every series is important for us," Naqvi said in a video which is going viral on social media.

 

"Agha is such a brilliant player, and yet he is not clicking at the moment for certain reasons. We are not telling him, ‘We asked you to go and rest’; we spoke to him and did everything. So, the objective is not to remove someone from the team. The objective is that if a player is not clicking, then we should make a change," he added.

 

"Yes, absolutely, what happened in the Test match cannot be termed wrong. We have lost these two matches, but I believe that, God willing, we will make progress in the coming days, just as we did in ODIs and T20Is. I have never been afraid of criticism, and I never will be. Those who say cricket has been destroyed since I came - look at what the rankings were before we brought our coaching team. We were eighth in ODIs and now we're fifth, in T20Is we jumped to sixth position from ninth, " Naqvi said.

Some good point here -- Ind has lost 3 out of 5 Odi series since ct-25 and 2 out of 3 t20i series since t20iwc.

 

Ind's wins are vs afgn and SA, SA was v.close series and Ind could have lost that one as well. In t20is Ind lost to Ireland and how won vs Zim.

 

The thing here is Ind did not recall 5/6 players mid series , though Ind captain and coach are under-pressure as well but they were not recalled.

 

And SA is playing it b/c/developmental side.

This joker in IV also boasted that they won vs Australia...  Firstly that was a B side and they played on terrible surfaces that would make Mirpur Dhaka resemble Perth or Gabba.  Everyone criticized those pitches.

 

India and SA can lose odd bilateral limited overs series and it's not a big deal.  

 

Pakistan hasn't beaten England since 2005 in a ODI/T20 series.

Things didn't go our way.   One area where we are struggling is opening and other is spin department.  We need Manav Suthar as Frontline spinner who can attack in middle overs in ODIs.

Ind need batter who can provide impetus at the last and bowler who can be a wkt taker in middle overs

Need lh batter somewhere in the middle , if padikkal is doing it in test try him in Odis, 50-overs that his format, he avg ~80 in List-A

That is just 2. Ireland missed more players that were important to them. INdia won with poor form Bumrah and without pandya in Asia cup final. We opened with Dube in Asia cup final.

Asia Cup conditions were similar to India. Here many were playing in such conditions for the first time

 

Namibia is way poorer team than Ireland too.

Ireland is not exactly SENA lol England was losing T20 series  to INdia home and away for ages. Thatis the only SENA team we played. 

 

SKY has captained 11 games against SENA in their own conditions without Bumrah and Pandya. won 6 of them. lost 3 of them. 2 no result.

Not comparing with pakistan.  Even at our worst we are better. SA losing to namibia is not ahocking. They have lost to netherlands in world cup. India was on sn unprecedented losing streak once the leadership was changd

Right now T20i are not high priority but Odis are. Losing Odis series is bigger cause of concern

 

The looks jaded and stalling , right now batting does not give much confidence. Its becoming same monotone batting line-up which can not score above par scores and who are the wkt takers ??
