SachDan Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 getting worse for Sach fans and Team India..:(( Injured Tendulkar doubtful for Australia Tests 20 Sep, 2008 1322hrs IST, REUTERS MUMBAI: India batsman Sachin Tendulkar could miss the four-match Test series against Australia starting in Bangalore on October 9 after injury ruled him out of Irani Trophy competition next week. Tendulkar suffered an elbow injury during the third test in Sri Lanka last month which forced him out of the subsequent ODI series. He had declared himself available for the Irani Trophy match, seen as a selection game for the Australia series, but the physiotherapist at the National Cricket Academy advised him another week's rest to recuperate. "He is not playing the Irani Trophy as he has been advised a week of rehabilitation," Ratnakar Shetty, BCCI's chief administrative officer, told reporters on Saturday. Tendulkar missed the first two Tests of Australia's last tour four years ago due to tennis elbow.
Lord Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Why does he rush the "I am fit to play" bit? This is becoming so regular now............ every cricketer says he is fit. BCCI should have taken his fitness test. fault lies wid bcci, not sachin
DomainK Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 He is obviously eager to play inspite of the injury. I hope he gets better and plays. This is a very important series.
beetle Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Sachin's word is losing it's value now. He should just let the people who are supposed to give a fitness certificate give the OK instead of coming out to announce his fitness.
satishg Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 i guess Sachin is truly Badris god..even wen the selectors keep ignoring Badri, Sachin keeps offering him a lifeline, so if Badri does manage to make it big in the Indian team v all know who is the reason behind it..dont we :D
Lord Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 sachin coming back n badri replacing ganguly wud be perfect. hope he capitalises on dis chance
Sachinism Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Badri will perform he's been fighting for too long to let an opportunity like this go by
