Looking forward to this movie! I don't know why soo many of u guys hate srk?
Simple, its just plain jealousy. He’s rich, famous and is leading the life he had always dreamt for, things that don’t rub well with fellow humans in general. When your life is constantly going south, there is no shortage of sympathizers. When things start going your way, its amazing to think that the exact same people who were wishing you well earlier now loathe your success.

Hate is a strong word but I am definitely not a fan of SRK mostly because of the movies he chooses. I agree he is a good actor and enjoyed watching Swades but his collaboration with Karan Johar is what gets on my nerve. But then again I hope they prove me wrong with this new movie. P.S. I don't hate SRK as a person.

++. Have nothing against the guy. I think he's a gentleman off the screen (from what I've seen), and he's worked really hard to get where he has. But 99/100 movies he chooses are crap and I don't like them. I didn't mind watching Swades or the recent movie - Chak De India, both were decent films, with the former having amazing music.

^ I think it is fashionable to say SRK does crappy stuff but if you look at his resume, there are a LOT of non-mainstream movies he has been a part of. For every K3G, there is a Swades, for every KHNH there is Paheli, for every KKHH there is Chak de India, for every DTPH, there is a Veer Zaara, for every Main Hoon Na there is a Asoka, for every OSO there is a Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na.

doing non-mainstream movies is not enough.. doing them successfully is what is required for great actors... Aamir khan does it successfully thru and thru.. SRK is a great businessman, communicator, entertainer.. but he is a over hyped actor..

If we are just talking about movies, yes, Aamir can be called a better actor. But, somehow he fails to command my respect as a person. I have to admit though that sometimes I really get irritated with Aamir's antics. He tries to portray that he is the only guy who puts in a 100% in what he does. I loved his Sarfarosh, RDB, TZP... but he overdoes certain things. SRK on the other hand is someone you can look up to. If an SRK movie and an Aamir movie releases on the same day, I would watch the SRK one. and watch the Aamir movie on the next day! :D

SRK is not a great actor but he must be doing something right to be hugely popular. i think its his choice of movies.almost all his movies have great songs, good stories.they r a good pastime, entertain for 3 hours n are films u wont feel embarass while watching with ur family.people watch his films for these things even though he acts bad n he is a good human being too

SRK is just very wise in choosing his movies now, i dont rate him as an actor but his movies are good! my son likes him and that is something i intend to put a stop to!! ( he also adores shilpa shetty, katrina kaif and kareena kapoor so no gay jokes hehe!)

Hes a cracking actor- very versatile - far more so than other Bolly actors He is best as an anti hero- Darr (where hes excellent), Baazigar and Asoka for instance. He should do more fo those. And of course the comic type roles and the cheesy romantic where hes had all the success he does well. I cant see many other hero actors doing that (mind you Saif was excellent in Ek Hasina Thi, and Aamir kinda did that in Fanaa but not too convincingly) P_K is right he has done a lot of 'non mainstream' stuff and done them very well. Aamir is a bit more discerning about his roles and films and quite the perfectionist but lacks SRKs range.
