Everyone at our house has one indoor slippers only for carpet, which we wear all the time.. But the regular out door slippers are simply no-no at our house.. they mess up the carpet and dirty the house Also Vaccum is done like every 2nd day.. My parents are really particular about everything at our house. Specially my Mom. If anything falls on the ground, say a bread pack which is alredy wrapped around with the company's plastic, will also be washed twice before it goes inside the fridge.

I keep separate ones for indoor use and also a few extra pair for guests to slip into. Plus we have hardwood flooring and I don't like getting into the bed with bare feet I've been walking around with. I also have this pretty annoying habit of putting my feet up on the couch, so don't want them to be on the ground when I do that.

We take pains to clean it every day (hardwood floors). People come in with sh*t-filled shoes and walk around. I insist that everyone remove the shoes, I can provide socks/slippers, if they are not comfortable walking bare foot.
