The Outsider
Aussie supporters have completely lost it if they are banking on Clarke to deliver on English wickets. Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
He'll adapt and deliver. Besides, won't be too hard with the field spread and England on the defensive after Hughes has battered them into submission. (Oh, and aren't your lot putting most of their hopes of taking 20 Australian wickets in a guy who hasn't played a test match since the 05 Ashes and is undergoing his 1632nd surgery right now with a fairly long rehab time again?) graphic23
I expect Ponting to score lots of runs along with Hughes and Clarke, perhaps. I think Katich will be amazing. Can't say much about Brett Lee or Michael Hussey, really. Mitchell Johnson has improved by leaps and bounds since the Australia/India series in 2008 - I'd think he would be a handful for England. I predict Australia - probably 3-2 or 4-1 Link to comment
EnterTheVoid
I am supporting Australia to win the series. Having said that, I hope England win 2 of the matches as I am grateful they returned to play in Chennai So a score of 3 - 2 in favor of Australia will keep the head and the heart happy :-) Link to comment
Guest Gunner
This is interesting. I was talking to an English Partner in my office a few days ago and he had no hope of winning the ashes. That said the following are my feelings on this subject: The ashes this time around is late summer and early autumn which is going to make the weather and the pitches big time unpredictable. The probability of low scoring scraps are higher. And I think some of you guys give the aussie batting line up way too much credit - Hughes could be dangerous but no one has seen him bat in English conditions (challenge to the best of the best), Clarke could be Australia's best batsman and honestly Punter is woeful at the moment. So in this background, if the poms could grow a set (fairly quickly I might add) they just might do it. In Strauss, Bopara, KP and Collingwood they have the batting. And I just love freddie (in a totally non-homosexual way) the guy will cause some serious problems to the aussies, so will swann (he is better than people think) and oh bring back Harmison for the ashes - this will be the best move. I hate both of the teams so much, I wish that neither would win. However in the spirit of competitive sport, I give it 2-1 to Australia. Let a million English hearts (male) weep while I collect a million of their English roses. Link to comment
Chalks
In b4 Glenn McGrath's usual 5-0 prediction. Australia 3-1. Cardiff (where they lost that famous ODI against Bangladesh in 05), will probably be washed out. England to score a "consolation" win at The Oval. I really want to see Side(show Bob)bottom tearing in. Slightly off topic, Stuart "6 6s" Broad reminds me of Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter movies. Link to comment

Pak_Forever
No cricket series can ever match the excitement and competition of Ashes 2005. Pity Poms can never be as good as they were in '05 series. 5-0 to Aussies. Link to comment

DomainK
Rain is the only way it will be a draw. Australia might win even in spite of rain. England will have to play really well to win even one. Link to comment
