Ram Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I have long maintained – Suresh Raina is India’s BEST T20 batsmen and that when begins to fire, it will be destruction untold, for the rest of the team. There’s one thing that separates Raina from the rest of the deadly snipers – He doesn’t just leave the crime scene after landing the head-shot on the victim like others. He picks up the body, clears the crime scene of all evidence whatsoever, performs the final rights for the victim according to his custom, applies for a death certificate at the local govt. office and THEN, leaves. As the opposition captain, you simply cannot breathe easy until you’ve seen the back of this guy, however improbable the situation is! I have simply lost track of the number of times Raina has pulled off a superlative innings for CSK. It is succcccchhaaaaaa pity that he doesn’t enjoy the same profile within the Indian team, languishing at numbers 5, 6 or even 7, in the batting order.

B-> When you’re the ONLY batsmen to score 400+ runs in all the 4 editions of the world’s most widely participated T20 league, you know you have to be really good! And that actually makes it doubly surprising that he Suresh chose to stay in CSK. If he chosen not to be retained and made himself available in the auctions, other franchises would have queued up like teenagers trying to buy porno DVD from a video shop. He could have easily ended up being the most expensive player in the auctions. But he chose to stay with CSK probably coz a)the contract amount that was offered to him by the CSK owners was VERY significant and b) he wanted to be part of a winning unit, which is probably more important than a few hundred thousand dollars in cash.
