A'ight for all of us who were waiting India has 3 bowlers who can tough 150 k's Ishant, Umesh , Varun, these guys can bowl in the 90's range, let these guys compete and improve, hopefully they stay fit and are nurtured.Still to come Rahul , Shami , Nechim future of bowling looks promising, maybe the England tour was a blessing in disguise , Dhoni seems to have shown a slight shift in his approach, he realised we can have a fast bowler per say.

Hope Abu Nechim also gets a chance soon. We will have 4 guys bowling 140+, all of them 22-23 years of age which should help us rotate them properly, helping extend their careers and the span for which they bowl quick.

I thought Munaf, Irfan and Zaheer bowled 140+ when they made their international debut but the first two lost considerable pace, while Zaheer consistently bowls in the 130s. Munaf needs to be kicked out of the team though. Terrible fielder and not so positive attitude. It's a surprise he bowled so well in the WC semi final.

Irfan was not fast. He touched 140 in Aus, but he used to bowl mostly around 80-85 mph. Zaheer could bowl at avg speed of 140.

Irfan was never 140+, while Munaf and Zak intentionally reduced their pace as they did not have the dedication to work on their fitness and stamina and sustain that pace. In fact, after WC 2003, Zak had gained so much weight by 2005 test series in Pak that his pace had reduced to 125-130K and then he was dropped for good.

Congrats to Indians on discovering good pace bowlers.... yadav and Aaron are quick but still not express like Akhtar,Sami,Waqar,Zahid more in the bracket of Muhammad Akram,Wahab etc in terms of pace quicker than Gul,Junad,cheema etc for sure

Your Sami was a 135-140kph bowler when he hit the international scene. It was only later that he increased his pace. Zahid was only hype.He was never that quick. Umesh and Aaron have just started their career. If they can increase their speed,it will only happen in about 6months - 1 yr time. And if they are going to reduce their pace, even thats going to happen in the same timeframe. Moral of the story - Do not start comparing with Akhtar and Lee. They may become 150+ later in their career if they have to. Exactly how the other pacers evolved with time !

There is video of his comeback in 2003 when he returned after he had broken his back 3 times still he was clocking 140k plus I am not saying they cant get quick in future but for that they have to work very hard. I like what i have seen from yadav and Aaron so best of luck to them

I was amazed at his pace he was only 19 back then i thought we have discovered a replacement of waqar and wasim but alas he never performed to his potential Zahid was pacy at least as fast as Shoaib even shoaib says so who doesnt always accept anyone being faster than him,Zahid though had a short career it is an other matte whether he would have mantained that pace in the long run or not...
