varun Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Yea, I heard its the same in some parts of Calif too, like the Bay area.. WTF man! It gets pretty warm there in the summer some times and no air-conditioning?! Even if it isnt warm, just feeling of setting the room-temp at 70 deg F and disappearing under a comforter is one of the best feelings a man can get! How can the Calif people be without that? :D Thats why everyone should live in Florida. There maybe houses without doors even, but all of 'em have air con. :D Hmm.. i've lived in California for 9 years now, and I would've hardly been to 2-3 places without a central AC.. Almost everyone has it I think, especially if you're living in an apartment.
Gambit Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Delhi was a lovely 46 degrees last week. Damn monsoons have reduced the temperature down to low 30s.

JayStarz Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I got the lulz of my life when I read the BBC article that said ‘UK to suffer intense heat-wave’' date=' only to see that the temperatures may touch 32, 33 deg centigrade… WTF! Do you call that heat-wave? I should ask some of these guys to come and stay in Chennai. We have 35+ degrees AND 85% humidity 365 days a year… What d’ya call that? A blaze-wave or something? :hmmm:[/quote'] Its the humidity/way the place is built up here though..there is literally no air to breathe here its that bad lol. I can handle heat in India, but heat in London is awful
Rajiv Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 It pretty 20's here in Vancouver as well..tx to global warming
Rajiv Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 ..but isn't heat welcome ? in otherwise depressing London weather
Sooda Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 ^ Ah yes- this is when that old adage- man is a fool etc etc comes into force... Its been a good summer in the UK- having said that bit of a downpour today
Ram Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 i can see why u feel like that i too come from a hot country orginally as well (east africa) where we get similar climate however' date=' the reason its unbareable here has alot to do with how congested london is, the fact that [b']the buildings and homes are designed to contain heat and keep as warm as possible unlike places like india where homes are designed to keep cool! :) hope that makes a bit more sense! outside is fine i'd rather be outdoors and than indoors right now!! Hmm, I didnt know that..
The Outsider Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Hmm.. i've lived in California for 9 years now' date=' and I would've hardly been to 2-3 places without a central AC.. Almost everyone has it I think, especially if you're living in an apartment.[/quote'] Most places in San Francisco/Berkeley don't have AC - the North Bay area. The fog makes sure you don't need one!
Guest Gunner Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I am in Bangalore right now and the weather is absolutely magnificent. So sleepy and romantic.:fishing::fishing:
goose Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 anyone feeling the heat today? 2 air coolers and fans our office windows dont open so its stuffy in here as well the temperature in the office is uncomfortable :(( any ideas guys? i've got work to do but cant concentrate should i pull a sicky and go home? dunno...get stark naked ?
