True. Even CA reports are that bad only. When some commentary is going on (they cover AIS games live) you can at least know how they scored or got out. But no information about pitch at all. India had inserted NZ, so pitch or condition must have had something. But you just can't say!

Another century from Virat Kohli. He has been fantastic in List A games. Just before leaving for Australia, he scored massivelly well in Bengal where he played for Mohan Bagan Cricket club.

India slid to their 3rd loss in 4 matches and this way they are out of the final now. Despite scoring 271 in the first inning their bowlers failed to defend the target and SA chased it with just 6 wickets down in the 49th over.

Seems that they dropped out of form Vijay and the steady Amit Mishra for Naman Ojha and B Kumar. But it didn't make much difference as all the bowlers were hammered and batsmen were slow.

After this tournament. Badri and Tiwary should be rested for good. Hope nobody ever talks about them again.

I was going to ask the same question, though in a civilized manner! Have you seen Rahane play? What shortcomings did you notice in his game? Which batsmen, according to you, are international materia in Indian domestic circuitl? Why? I'm satisfied at Rahane. Though we don't know anything about the pitches of this tourney, but they are not similar to Indian pitches, I'm sure. In that case, Rahane has performed the best among chosen batsmen. Had Pujara and Dhawan been there, we could have seen some good batting performances! Anyway, here is the report from cricinfo, which they compile by just looking at the scorecard, I'm sure! Ajinkya Rahane's classy 92 for India went in vain as South Africa overhauled a stiff target with nine balls to spare. Stiaan van Zyl, Vaughn van Jaarsveld and Farhaan Behardien contributed vital half-centuries to ensure that South Africa's unbeaten record stayed intact. After being put in, India were off to a solid start as Rahane and Naman Ojha put on a century stand. Most impressive among Indians 1) A Nayar (consistent) 2) A Rahane 3) Tyagi 4) Ashwin Kohli is either boom or bust. Rest of them have been mediocre. Badrinath will struggle to find a place even in emerging XI at this rate.

If Kohli is only boom or bust, what is Tyagi? Apart from that 6 fer, he hasn't even completed his quota of overs and bowled only 4 overs in yesterday's match. I'm sure he is injured again, which we'll soon find out when he won't appear in tomorrow's match. And Mishra was the most consistent and economical spin bowler. I suppose without Pujara and Dhawan, this Emerging squad is really incomplete!

Its good they played this tournament, they'll find a lot of flaws in their techniques and hopefully they'll be able to correct those in the next 18 months or so and we can go from there

Looks like that. Read somewhere that these guys had to report to NCA so that their recovery could be assessed. So obviously they'd have been injured. I suppose selectors could have chosen Sreesanth as it'd have tested his fitness and he could be available for CT after that, if he'd have proved his fitness. If Mishra could be there as Emerging player, Sree could have been there as well. And I tell you, Dhawal Kulkarni has really really disappointed me. So we don't have a big enough pool of seamers to discard Sree like that.

Sreesanth should never have been discarded. Not after what he showed in Jo'burg. He may be far more inconsistent and have a couple of issues upstairs, but at the end of it the upside when he's confident, on form and firing is unbelievable.
