Because we are their big brothers ? I am speaking for myself, but possibly also for some others who started watching cricket in the 80s, I still find it a little difficult to accept that Sri Lanka has become a very good team and occasionally a better team that us. So I try to find excuses to belittle some of their achievements (some of which are very valid though). Having said that, I don't seriously try to change my attitude either. I don't and won't have a problem with it if and when Bangladesh become as good as India. But I suspect that a lot of Pakistan fans would go through the same sort of denial.

Not as much as padosis. Individually they are good. But Sangakkara can tick you off with annoying statement. After he defeated India he said "India cannot win outside India". We whopped their ass in Australia then in their own den twice. We have been dominating them over the last few years.

Wow did he say that? :omg: Its actually the opposite "Sri Lanka cant win outside Sri Lanka" :giggle: But the fact is currently their bowling attack is better than us.

i do not hate them but yes their pitches are not of good quality especially for batting (except last time we tour them off course) and their pitches are such that which only provide benefit to their bowlers. also i think most of their bowlers are strange (action of murli and malinga & mystery bowler mendis). and last thing is that they can only win in their home most of the times like we were before 2000. but the players are not arrogant like aussies and their behavior is good at on & off the field.

Yeah.... In fact there is not even a single reason to hate 'em... In fact that is my fav team..... SL produced so many great players.... Arvinda was my fav players.. I am very fascinated with SL. I would like to visit there once in my life...

I dont hate them, but think they play the most boring cricket outside of thier own shores. Samarweera/Jayawardene have Bradmanesque test averages in SL, but suck outside.

2nd favorite. Love the Lankans. All are modest and down to earth, awesome entertainers that play in the spirit of the game and are excellent rolemodels to follow. Sangakarra, Jayasuriya, Jayawardene, Dilshan, Mulari, Mendis, Malinga - Give me a break. They're an awesome team to watch.

I dislike Pakistan fairly intensely No other team comes close really, but England would be second fo shizzle I was so hoping the Aussies would thump em in the ashes but 7-0 in ODIs should kinda do it.

Losing to Sri Lanka irks me far more than the joy of beating them. Pakistan has always been about bragging rights. For sheer desperation to outshine the opposition in the beautiful game i've never been able to look past Australia - one of the top most pleasures of supporting India in the last ten years has been their repeated refusal to follow the script against arguably the best side the sport has seen.
