I am sorry, but there's no place for someone who cannot control his mouth in an any Indian team, let alone a team as marque as our cricket team. This whole argument of 'Well, thats how he motivates himself, so let him just be..' just wont cut any slack. If abusing opposition players and summarily hurling the choicest of niceties at them is how a player is going to jee himself up, i'd rather not have such a guy represent my national team. If we're going to allow verbal abuse as an acceptable 'motivational tool' for Sreesanth, where are we going to stop? What if tomorrow some other player wants to get physical and needs the odd shoulder bump into opposition players to rev himself up? This notion that you should be bare your teeth at the opposition, look aggressive, indulge in verbal abuse and adopt menacing physical postures that would intimidate them to be aggressive is just bollocks. Aggression doesnt come from factitious TV sound-bytes and photo-ops, it comes from a strong mind and an even stronger will to win. Someone like Sachin Tendulkar has probably had to endure more physical and mental pressure than the rest of the Indian team put together, in his 20 year career. Yet, has he even once indulged in these sort of scare-mongering tactics to perform at the levels we have been so accustomed to seeing from him.. Of course not! And most importantly, when Sreesanth dons those India colors and steps on the field, he is not just representing himself and his team, he is representing a billion people. Now, I am fine with an Indian player being aggressive and emotional on the field. Everyone should have the freedom to express themselves and be their personality. But, not at the expense of being disrespectful of the opposition players and verbally abusing them. Bottom line, If Sreesanth cannot sort his on-field abuse problem, I dont want him to get anywhere close to a spot in the Indian team. And i dont care if our other fast bowler are absolute rubbish and cant win us a single match (like it is now...). The Pakistanis for years pampered and shielded guys like Shoaib Akhtar because of his celebrity attitude and look what they got in return - Doping scandals, altercations with team member, testicular warts and more. We shouldnt make the same mistake.

Sledging adds to the cricket drama, its not that bad. It does bring crowd attention and keeps things heated for added intensity, and that's why people would care the most about Ind/Pak matches than any other Ind vs match..because there's a personal grudge in Ind/Pak matches. And Aussies have been sledging for years as part of the strategy of the game to get the batsmen out. No harm done in my opinion as long as it doesn't get over the limit. Another example of how drama brings in more viewers..Mike Tyson created unnecessary drama in the conference for vs Lennox Lewis match, said stuff like he would eat his children. Outside when Tyson's coach asked him why he said that to Lennox, who has no personal history with Tyson, he responded something along the lines of "the hype for the match is 10 times bigger, isn't it?"

Ishant is going to be in the team as far as test bowling line up is concerned. As for sir Aggy Vs Sree comparison, Aggy has an average of 47 after 26 tests compared to Sree's 31 in 16 tests.

To compare hem to Akthar is outrageous. He was druggie, did not train properly, argued with all his team mates and was a totaly unproffesional player in his preperation etc. Sree is none of that. All sree does is abuse oppo when bowling. Yes sree likes bollywood and tries to be in with that IT crowd. So what??? So may other players do the same, it does not mean you are not preparing for games properly. Also all around the world pro sportsman do a lot more mixing with celebs etc eg Beckham and co. No one is demanding their axing cos of it. I suppose you want Yuvraj axed after all he is regularly mixing with young bollywood beauties(good on him I say)? Sree is proffesional in his preparation and commitiment. No stories of missing training and not giving 100%. To compare to Akhtar is misleading and not fair.
