I think Australia produces good pitches, with good results, always love to see a match that is being played in australia... That is one day...England are also good i think... For test, australia, england south africa and even sri lankan pitches are often good. We have a good balance between bat and ball... In one day a par socre should be 250...
England's match scores are not really influenced by the pitch but more by the weather. The rest have all produced their fair share of high scoring games. Sri Lanka, isn't it the Premadasa where the team winning the toss always wins the game? I am not quite sure what you are on about. I do however agree that these high scoring games are not good for cricket.

It's also what i think , there should not be high scoring game.... A team should score 300 only if they bat extremely well... Nowadays 300 is not even par on most the wickets... And unfortunately all pitches in this series were too good for batting...

In Australia you get results because Australia is too good for others. Period. Just go back to 1985/86 series of Indian tour to Australia. India made 520/9 dec, 445, 600/4 declare. All 3 Tests ended in draw. At the end of the day if you have crap team you will provide result on any pitch.

Just shorten the length of Australian boundaries. There also you will see high scoring games. Biggest advantage they have is bigger grounds. You can run all 4.. if necessary. But it will tire you out. In no other ground on other countries you can run all 4. SA has good pitches. But smaller grounds. Didn't South Africa batter Pakistan into oblivion by scoring 392 in 50 overs. They chased 434 total there.

i dont have problem with such wickets for LOIs.if u bowl n field well can restrict the team under 300. both teams bowled poor today n fielding was horrible

Thats true, if both teams bowled and fielded a bit better, neither of the sides would have got 400

That is crap. Australia produces nothing but batting tracks with a bit of bounce. They produce results because they had McWarne... Now without them you will see more draws than ever.

Absolute disgrace. It happens in most countries from time to time and the nature of the game has been changing into a more aggressive batting approach but even considering all that, i hope this is the end of such wickets. I would rate that SA pitch the worst followed by the NZ pitch in which India made 390 and NZ made 350. Only reason yest was a little better than NZ was because we dont have any weather effects in Rajkot.

I didn't want to start a new thread, but I have to say a couple of things. Firstly well done to Tendulkar, incredible knock in great physical circumstances. He is the benchmark for modern batsmen and good for him and congrats to Indian fans too. But even as he was on 130 and I saw the flatness of the pitch, I was feeling for the poor bowlers. Whether SA chase this score or not, the wicket they played on today is unacceptable for cricket. Quality bowlers like Steyn and Langeveldt were reduced to cannon fodder by what is an absolutely disgraceeful wicket. I really don't like the way wickets in India and Pakistan, in fact all over the world are prepared for these games. There was a time when Pakistan were the worst at this, but I think India now creeps ahead. SA are a good enough side to keep the Indian batting in check, but not on roads like the one today. It's the reason why India struggle to produce quality fast bowlers.

Very well written. I absolutely agree with you, there was a time when a score of 280 looked impossible, nowadays even 300 on the board doesn't look good enough. I pity the modern day bowlers, economy rate of 4.8 was considered too much before now it's excellent and 6.00 is ok lol.

Mate, when johansberg happened , you guys are the one who said it is the best cricket match ever. Now it is flattest pitch...! When was the last time you have seen a cricket pitch where ball is not coming on to the bat!! ODI pitches are supposed to help batsmen, so all pitches prepared for ODI are flat. There is nothing like more flat, less flat.
