hatja_tau Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Ok guys, on one hand i am absolutely pissed at karthik for not letting GOD make another deserving hundred, but on the other hand if I try to take out my tendy-bias, I feel that it was ok to hit out, as he was just playing his game. do you guys think it was ok? ...or am I just behaving like a typically fragile, emotional devotee?..
10DuLKaR Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Ok guys' date=' on one hand i am absolutely pissed at karthik for not letting GOD make another deserving hundred[/quote'] I feel the same.. DK ---> :whack:
vvvslaxman Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Ever thought Sangakkara was making it difficult by keeping fielders in for DK and keeping ifelders out for Sachin. Also if he was really keen he should have taken power play and finished it off. But i am pretty sure that was not on his mind. What is wrong in our young wicket keeper getting some confidence by getting some runs in his kitty.
ludhianvi Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Karthik played well! If Tendulkar was so interested in his century, which he was in the end by the way, then he should have taken the powerplay. But I am sure a victory is important than a 100. Sunny and Shastri would 've been more disappointed than Tendulkar himself for not getting a 100. :hysterical:

ludhianvi Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 :hmmm: Hmmm.. dont tell me you didnt see Tendulkar rushing in the end to get to his hundred. It was pretty obvious.
Sachinism Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 I don't think Sachin cared that much, he didn't really make a proper effort to get to that 100. Also he could have easily told Karthik to take it easy
coffee_rules Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Why was Karthick promoted to begin with? Sehwag doesn't like Raina/Jadeja who are Dhoni's boys.
spectre Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Guys, it pretty much showed on their faces Karthik was dejected when Sangawyner missed the ball, and Saching was smiling, probably told him to take it easy Sachin would have clearly told Karthik to go for it, else i dont think any player would have spoiled Sachin's century today Clearly DK should not be blamed, Sachin may have wanted it to end this way and not hold till he gets his century :hatsoff:
vvvslaxman Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Lot of conspiracy theories after a comprehensive victory. Relax guys. I am glad DK got some runs.
Clarke Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 whats with the love of a hundred ? India winning was enough, atleast thats what i thought
The Outsider Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Big deal - he has got 45 of them. No one ever is going to come close to that number and if he had really wanted he would have told Chhotu to take it easy or taken the powerplay - there were 8 overs left in the game.
retterimp Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 well normally when he gets 100 we lose, so this time its good he didnt, winning is all that matters
gaurav92 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 ^Shut your mouth bloody BS, i dont think you know stats about cricket
hatja_tau Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 Easy there cowboy, am sure retter meant it in a lighter vein. We all love SRT, so chill and hopefully he'll score a double next ODI - Karthik or no Karthik! :yay:
gaurav92 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 ^ His lighter tone has hurted me and millions of Sachin Fan, it means in our language doubting the skills and calibre of GOD whom we worship.I ll not take that now
Texy Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 what you expect all the players to cater to Tendu so he gets his 100?? Team win is 1st priority 93 odi 50s, 45 centuries.... this guy plays for his country...he would be more than happy that his team won in the end
Ram Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 My admiration for Sach has gone up that little notch (not that it had to, its plenty already..) after y'day's match. The man seem couldnt seem less bothered about missing his 100, which is the way it should be. But quite frankly, Gavaskar's commentary made me sick in the stomach. The man was openly talking about taking a PP, just so that Sachin can get his 100. I have no words to describe that kind of stat-crazed mentality.
DomainK Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 It would have been another drop in the ocean. Does not matter at all.
