I wasn't impressed with his 100' date=' but he batted superbly today, played some gorgeous strokes rather than slogging to leg[/quote'] I completely agree :agree: I was not impressed by his 100 because that contained a lot of slogs but the knock in the second semi final was merely brilliant. He played cricketing shots and displayed his wide array of shots all over the ground. He is a proper batsmen and I think he is the real find of the tournament amongst the domestic talents. He played proper shots while most of the other finds played slogs and so I would rate Manish Pandey as the best find of IPL 2 for sure out of all the domestic players. He has a cool and a very good attitude with good fielding too. I saw Dhoni congratulating him after the semi final and hope Dhoni tells the selectors to give him a chance very soon.

that is a BS opinion.. RS is a far better player... Pandey can be groomed for the future but he does not deserve to replace anybody in the present Indian team .. he might be given chances in dead rubbers in the future but not for serious matches as of now until he proves in the international level

^^^thread digger  he was impressive yet he took some stupid risks today
I agree but some of his shots were really impressive with good technique.. he is also good in fielding and he is a good prospect amongst the local talents.. the most impressive thing about him is his confidence .. he does not look afraid of good international bowlers too and he is composed always .. he has the guts to hit a phaast bowler for four

He is only 20 and has a lot left in him. He can only improve and he seems very dedicated player for his age. I liked his shot selection and he also has a good sense of picking up gaps. He is also great between the wickets and knows the art of rotating the strike (very important these days)

its not easy to make an opinion based on T20 batting ..in pandeys case he plays some classy strokes along with cross-batted ones ...if this is just improvisation he brings in for T20's , just gr8 ..but if this is how he plays normally , then the kids got some way to go . Pandeys 50 in the final was a much better innings than the 100 in semis .

:dito: I like his composure the most.. even Karthik's expression changes when he faces good fast bowlers even after considerable intenational experience.. Kohli's expression also changed when he played his first few international matches but the best part about Pandey is that I have seen him confident and composed in his first IPL 2 match though he did not have much domestic experience.. he was good in the field and was composed in batting from the first day itself

Yea. But playing for India will be a different experience. In BRC they probably expect nothing more than a short and sweet innings from him. Pressure is off. No pressure of keeping his place in the side.

He should not be in the Indian team right now. But he should be in the selector's radar and should be made to hone his skills. He has very less domestic experience but he has got a better attitude than most players who have even played 10-20 years of domestic cricket
