How many Dravids do we need - Badri,Vijay..now Pujara !! ... looks like our team is moving towards having Dravids all the way from no.3 to no 6 - bowler's and viewer's nightmare!

If Badri/Vijay fails again, selectors need to bring in this run machine from Gujarat. Guys, need your views on this...
We owe Badri atleast 5-8 TEST matches before we replace him with someone else. Yuvraj is crap as TEST player and should be kept as a backup for Badri until he goes out of form imo.

No such comments until we see 'em do better in the team for at least 5 years.... 2 years and Ishant sharma is absolutely plain no thinking bowler....I still remember how highly we thought of him...

Yes I dont know why he has not been given a chance yet, I'm a big Pujara supporter. I don't care what Chandan or Outsider says, get the guy in, he is a run machine.

Are there any upcoming India-A tours? We can send some of our promising folks on those tours.
I guess even there Rohit ans Sir J will get priority over others.

See....I can still stand by my comments. Let him at least perform for 5 years for me to even comment on him. After seeing him play against Aussies, he looked promising. But still want check him out more. Lets see how he does in NZ series now. NEXT DRAVID.... my foot. Let these kids first come in and at least make their places in the team. Dravids dont go on sale in Walmart. These threads are really insult on our legends. Nothing against pujara or raina or Bradri...but point is we should stop hyping them so much that it becomes impossible for them to come up to the expectation.

We can't hype, we can't criticize, we can't compare, looks like some of you want to turn this site into a cheer leading club or better yet just suit your own personal agenda, and you might just get your wish.

you want to really test your Test young guns. How about sitting Sachin' date=' Dravid, Laxman and Sehwag out for 1 Test match and see for yourself?[/quote'] They should have done that in the tour to Bangladesh, cant afford to do that now- may be they shpuld rest one or two big guns for the NZ tour.

At one point you didn't like people supporting SRT when he was going through a bad patch. By that time he had already crossed 10K international test runs. going by the same logic, how do you expect me to accept a new guy as next Dravid after watching him in only one innings?? Thats all. Look, we have been criticising & comparing everyone here. If you go and check some of the threads, where I was posting the outseter of SRT just because he was part of the losing world cup team despite knowing that Greg has messed up with the team big time. I only opposed to extreme criticism as retiring a player. I think 99.99% people will agree including you that it doesn't help hyping a new comer after watching him in 1 innings (I failed in the first). I can certainly agree after watching him in next 10 games as best 1 down after dravid. But that too after 10 test matches.

Comparisons are inevitable. Some like to compare after 1 game, others after 10. To each their own. How do our comparisons here on a MB affect that guys performance or add pressure? Regarding SRT, I never said people can't support him, that would be stupid. I only gave my take on his performances then. I didn't even say he should be dropped, just that he wasn't playing like the all time great people were still insisting on then, which wasn't the case then in tests.

I vividly remember Dravid's first Test innings. 95. All class. More than that his 84 in the same series was one of the great batting spectacle you could hope to see punctuated with breath taking on drives. Too early to compare him with Wall.
