Since most of us pick up another language for conversational settings, Spanish is easier than French (having taken both for a couple of years in HS). Much easier to get the pronunciations (even accent) close. Speaking french was like, I've a tumour size of a grape in my mouth. Can only imagine how pain in the ass learning German would be (or Russian).

Quite easy to write and read and very difficult to speak.
That is what i am wondering.. the way she talks in a sing song fashion is pretty hard to master if you don't start early enough. But i love the sound .

French: they go 60 + 11 for 71 and like sixty and Nineteen for seventy nine.. Thats a crazy $#it. Cant take it... There are so many such things in French...

Yeah man ..that 80 n 90 is pure gold .. :icflove: Thats not a language.. thats torture...I am sure french has its own fun.. Lot of ppl learn it. My daughter is pretty good at it.

english, mandarin, spanish and hindi. If you know these languages, you can speak to a large part of the world. I would learn spanish or mandarin if i could, since i know the other two languages.

Less exceptions.[/quote'] I might be wrong, but I guess understanding French Grammar would be lot easier for a Hindi speaker as you can relate more Hindi Grammar rules to French Grammar rules than English ones.
