Spoilsport South Africa I was watchin Playback right now. These guys simply walked off when the umps asked about the lights. I agree with Sunny Gavaskar. It was quite moronic of them to simply walk off, given that we were bowling with spinners, not pacers. Strategy is one thing. Ethics another. They should have stayed on. If not the thousands of fans in the stadium, then atleast for the game of cricket. Shame on you, Saffers. I hope you get pwnd royally tomorrow.

Any team, yes any team would have accepted the light or consulted the umpire about the lights in this issue if they were in the position which south africa is in rite now. The team can't win the match from the situation they are in, what do you expect them to do, it's not that the game is going towards a dull draw that batsman would love to continue bat and score some runs. Dalmiya doesn't call off the game. What has he got to do with calling off the game. 4.15 is the cut off time and the umpires can call off the game at that time. And all you conspiracy theorists out there, it will be sunny tomorrow, we will win this game. Chillax.

The bounce that our spinners are getting is the key here. With that kind of bounce with even slight turn, the SA strategy of tucking Bhajji's off spinner's behind short leg becomes a dangerous one with most of such shots likely to carry to the short fine leg (if he's there). And with Mishra htting a consistent lne now and getting good turn, we should wrap it up by team time tomorrow.

A friend watching the game live at Eden told me that there was a rumour going around the club house (where he's seated for the test) that if at all there is even a slight drizzle tonight, all efforts will be made to ensure further delay to the game tomorrow morning. Maybe a conspiracy theory but he also said that when the today's play was called off(4 PM), soon after that sun came out and there was good light till about 5.45 in the evening. Dpnt know what the officials were doing there. If the light is good enough, go out and play rather than twiddling your thumb in the pavillions and sipping on hot coffee.
