thevortex Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Never mind about worldwide clout, money, power, fame and all those peripheral things. There is also some cricket in the IPL. IPL is just a fast moving paperback novel where Test matches are akin to huge epics or philosophical treatises. You watch IPL when you want a change from the intensity of Test cricket. I would not necessarily demean IPL or T20 cricket - it is just important for fans to make out the difference between the games and the skills required for both forms of the game.
Pakistan-India Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 you people must be loving it, cricket for 45 days where we are flippin empty sitting during this time, but maybe there might be a better buzz watching our stars on 1st may, thats may be! :icflove:

Guest Hiten. Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Why do you guys have to claim superiority just because you don't have watch IPL ? :dontknow: I love anything that has to do with cricket, heck if they ever decide to play cricket on ice with skates on I'd be there to watch (because that's the closest cricketing action I'd ever be able to watch in Canada it seems :((). P.S: I am yet to watch a full IPL match since the past 2 years actually :hmmm: P. P.S: Bossbhai you're making fun of something that Boss captains and participates in wholeheartedly :((

Case in point: Curling.

Don't stereotype our likings to that of Ludhi's . He claims to be Indian/Canadian but then likens Paki music to Indian, curling to something that ****ing makes sense and is exciting etc. For all you know, he could be a gay Paki :headshake:
Rajiv Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Sachin hasn't gone berserk yet in T20 I am not counting ODI's But I hope to see him play it like it was last 5 overs
EnterTheVoid Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 How do you expect anyone else to respect it if you have none yourself. Disliking it is one thing, and you may have your reasons to which I won't object to, but a little respect is warranted, whether you like it or not.
Roshanrocks Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Only reason i watch IPL is to see more of Sachin.... :winky:
Gunner_Mania Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Read Bumble's Twitter timeline today on IPL. To sum it up ..Great Cricket..totally unwatchable on TV
Chandan Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 IPL ends - How do you read someone's timeline on Twitter?
Gunner_Mania Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 How do you read someone's timeline on Twitter? http://twitter.com/BumbleCricket You should be able to read his tweets
coffee_rules Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 You guys are like SRK detractors, who keep complaining about how bad his movies are, but still line up to watch it first day first show. If you have hate IPL, don't be obsessed about it so much. It gives us something to follow during the off-season, plus it's time-pass entertainment, like watching a bad bollywood remake of an old hollywod classic! Plus you get to watch...
