absolutely right,it has got ridiculous to be honest.Vijay is in unenviable postion of repeating that form and if he fails the same fans will be baying for his blood from the test lineup too!!, My position is that your test team and you t20 team should not have a big overlap at all.Vijay's selection was lunacy and overreaction at its best.

What I want: Gauti KKD Raina Yuvi Dhoni Rohit Yuppo Jadeja Bhajji Zak Nehra What I'll get: Gauti VJ Raina Yuvi Dhoni Rohit Yuppo Jadeja Bhajji Zak Nehra which is not that bad, considering. Bowling: Zak - 2 up front, 2 in the back. (He is the best among our bowlers for death) Nehra - 3 up front, 1 in the end. Jadeja - 4 on trot, with 1 over in the PP. Bhajji - 4 on trot in the middle. Yuppo - Can bowl 1 or 2 in the PP, and then staggered during the middle overs. I think we can expect 3 from him as a safe bet. Yuvi - should bowl at least 1 over. Raina - should get precedence over Rohit Rohit - can bowl for variety, but not really an option.

Gambhir Vijay Raina Yuvraj Dhoni Pathan/Nohit Karthik Jadeja Harbhajan Zak Nehra I would play Jadeja in place of a third seamer , as the conditions will be favouring spinners. Both Yusuf and Nohit are poor with India colours on so i'll play either one of them. If any of them Fails I'll try Karthik. If any third seamer plays i'll play Vinay Kumar in place of Praveen. The later one has remained only a trundler this days, no pace, or effectiveness is there anymore. Cant see Chawla playing and before Nohit i'll be happy to play Pathan as he can bowl as well and will be handy in Windies.

Now that we are more are less settled with our squad selection. Which XI should be fielded? Gambhir Vijay Raina Yuvraj Dhoni Rohit Yusuf Harbhajan Zaheer Praveen Nehra Raina, Rohit, Yuvi, Yousuf can share 8 or more overs depending on the pitch. If we are going to go with a spinner Nehra or Praveen can be replaced by Chawla.

I will have two changes in my team... 1. Dinesh Karthik in place of Vijay - Vijay's big shots are limited to leg side (arc between mid wicket and widish long on) and has a tendency to go across the line. He succeeded in IPL against generally low quality bowling, flat pitches and smaller grounds but his natural game is not suited to T20 and will be found out at intl level in the shorter format. 2. Jadeja in place of Yusuf - Primarily for two reasons - a) Jadeja is a much better bowler than Yusuf and since we have a pretty poor bowling attack we need as much help as possible. Jadeja's left arm spin bowling would be more suited to slow west indian pitches and can't be left out. b) Yusuf Pathan is a weak bowling bully and can't cut it against good bowling. His dismissal against Steyn was a case in point where he was rooted to the crease and a sitting duck in front of Steyn. Plus Yusuf is hopeless playing bouncers and rest assured every team will target him with short pitched bowling. i would rather have Jadeja in the team with his better bowling and some handy runs down the order. Other than that I am more or less ok. One other option would be to drop either Praveen Kumar or Nehra and play both Jadeja and Yusuf. This will give us added batting depth and generally better bowling attack on now slow west indian pitches which generally assist spin bowling as the recent Zim-Windies series showed us. But no matter what, Sehwag's absence will haunt us. Sehwag was not fit the last two ICC tourneys (T20 world cup and Champion's Trophy) and we fared pretty poorly in both the tourneys. The best we can do is ask Karthik to open and give him license to go for his shots. He has all the shots in the book and given the chance has the talent to surprize us and the opponents by giving us fast starts.

I will have Jadeja in my XI. His bowling will be extremely crucial on the line of what Nathan McCullum did for NZ yesterday. I don't mind dropping either Nehra or Praveen Kumar for him. Secondly I think Yuvraj might suffer hughly on these slow tracks. What do you all say?

So they played Jadeja instead of Rohit. Otherwise they played the XI i posted. Bhajji's bowling is disappointing. But can we replace Yusuf with Rohit or KKD?
