SLICKR392 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 American Hustle- Big time Bale fane, wasn't as good as expected. Decent watch. The Grey- Very good flick. One of those movies that keeps you awake even when you are sleepy (I was). From this week's watch, I highly recommend- The Grey, The Score, New World (Korean) & The Crucible.
Shane Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Been work tied for the last couple of months so just watched a couple of them, Wolf of Wall Street, brilliant movie, most of you guys must have already watched it, actually went for for it just by the name of the director, had no clue about the premise of the movie, it was really embarrassing initially as I had a female companion, but she seemed to have taken it well. :P How Leo failed to get an oscar for playing Jordan Belfort is just beyond my reckoning. DVD should be out soon, worth getting a copy. The other movie I watched was Highway, played it safe this time with a Bollywood Drama :P Good movie, touched on a very important subject of social illness, amazing cinematography, a really good one time watch.

SLICKR392 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 In The Name Of The Father- Strong storyline. Another brilliance from DDL. Dallas Buyers Club- Decent watch. MathewMc was sensational. Not a lot to differentiate between Leo and Mathew on whose performance was better, but McConaughey edges Leo in consistency. Leo's character at time was easy meanwhile MMc had to play a very tough role throughout the movie. At times he was unreal with some really emotional performance. If anyone of you had missed out, then do check the ending of the trailer of Interstellar. Brief but breath taking shot of MathewMc.
