Cricketics Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Having followed plenty of games of pakistan and england, I have seen this Jimmy Anderson bowling the best of his bowling spell always against pakistna. Tomorrow new series begins between same two teams, it would be interesting to see Anderson again against pakistan. He seems to get fired up when pakistan is the opponent. I believe he will be the bowler to watch out for, if he plays.....
ali0786 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I would also watch out for Collingwood if I was Pakistan. We make part time bowlers look like world beaters. Cricketics is right though, I remember Anderson getting a hattrick against us once or twice. He killed us in 2003 WC
The Dark Horse Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Yes, Anderson is particularly good at home, also against Pak.
cowboysfan Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 not looking good for pakistan, unlike the aussies the english know how to bowl in those conditions
Cricketics Posted July 29, 2010 Author Posted July 29, 2010 I am very excited about this match.. Will be at home all day tomorrow and would fall it from delivery to delivery..
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Anderson has an ODI hattrick against us. But then we have a history of making mediocre bowlers look world class:cantstop:
Mr. Wicket Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 But then we have a history of making mediocre bowlers look world class:cantstop: Your batting can make pretty much anyone look world class.
Fontaine Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Anderson is okay. He's a faster version of RP Singh. Great in swinging conditions with the Duke ball but useless on flat decks with the kooka.
Cricketics Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 I am glad i created this thread one day before the start of the series.. I knew he is going to be special in this series. There you go.. good bowling.
Rajiv Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 I think we all were waiiting for this to happen, but lets see ,lotta cricket to be played
Guest Hiten. Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 This guy has an awesome bowling action and is a rich man's Agarkar under swinging conditions. His bowling against Pakistan in WC 03 was stunning piece of swing bowling and was the closest to match Bichel's 7-fer + Nehra's 6-fer in that WC.

Clarke Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Anderson is okay. He's a faster version of RP Singh. Great in swinging conditions with the Duke ball but useless on flat decks with the kooka. There used to be another asterisk about his wickets, a huge majority would be right handers. I guess even that weakness doesn't matter against Pakistani openers.
