achilles Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 i heard one instance where hogg was talking about how sehwag and gambir always hangout together' date=' preparing themselves, helping each other in the gym, talking about the match during dinner etc. the so callled oily rat pwned him asking 'what the hell you were doing there spying over the two?" brad hogg couldnt open his mouth for a few seconds.[/quote'] LS then followed it up with, "What is the point of doing it now? You are retired".
Precambrian Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Allan Border sorely missed.. loved his "I am sure Ricky won't like what's going in my mind"..
vvvslaxman Posted October 7, 2010 Author Posted October 7, 2010 whoa.. that was Bevan.. he sounds very much like Kaspa. they could have had Slater in atleast.
kabira Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Brendon Julian was good last time around. I would love to hear Deano and Sidhu together in the commentary box. Bring them on.
gaurav92 Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Brendon Jullian, Alan Border, Michael bevan and Michael Slater would have been great to listen.Hogg annoys me to the core.
King Tendulkar Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 The fact he is continually paired with the oily rat. I give hogg a lot of credit for still smiling and being pleasant.
vaibhav_delhi Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Even by the generally mediocre s standards of commentators these days, he’s unspeakably bad. I hate the way he mangles all the Indian player names out of recognition. He literally called Ishant as ‘Instant Sharmal’ after the victory in Mohali.. WTF! And of course, there’s the fake excitement to add salt to the wounds. Btw, I don’t know what has happened to Uncle Lal these days, but these days, I don’t feel like banging my head against the wall, while electrocuting myself, even as I set myself on fire, all at the same time when listening to him. The ‘Yes Indeeeeeeeds’ have gone, so have the breakdowns at the sight of some stray dog in the streets. Michael Bevan is good though - Sensible, articulate and reasonably insightful. Indeed, endeavour and rather - these are Arun lals fav three words. Also his typical fake laughter. This one's for you Mr lal --> :finger: (not with the laughing face, lol)
IT_Anxiety_NJIT Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 They should call either Mushtaq Ahmed or Zaheer Abbas for 2nd test. Both are quality commentators, much better than these Aussie jokers.
King Tendulkar Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Hogg really does talk rubbish. Total plumb
achilles Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 KT... he's got such an awesome pair with LS. Brings the rapist out of LS alive :woot:
King Tendulkar Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 KT... he's got such an awesome pair with LS. Brings the rapist out of LS alive :woot: Worst commentary pair ever. I cant believe what producers see in these 2 , let alone pair them up. God they must be cheap
Hindustani Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 lal, hogg, LS, seriously neo couldn't find few decent commies? just get Danny "fake indian" morrison, atleast he is funny
Ram Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 The only explanation for having Hogg in the commentary box is that he came along with a buy-one-get-one-for-free offer. They probably signed up only Bevan, but Hogg was the free gift. :-D
Karan114 Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 The only explanation for having Hogg in the commentary box is that he came along with a buy-one-get-one-for-free offer. They probably signed up only Bevan' date=' but Hogg was the free gift. :-D[/quote'] :cantstop:
The Dark Horse Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 His "beauuuuti-ful" expression is especially intolerable
flamy Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Get ready of Shiva. That oily rat annoys me even more then Nasser and Atherton!! OK not as bad as the two anti indian twats but still makes hoggs commentary look almost Lyols like in comparison. Really cant stand when the oily rat tries to be funny :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: really looks like one, doesnt he?
ravishingravi Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Well I did hear Shastri say yesterday that "Indians need a partnership of 50 or so without losing a wicket to be in command of this game"
philcric Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Shastri is the king of cliches and horrible at math.
Bradman99 Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I thought he was pretty funny, only watched the end of Australia's innings- the final 10 overs when he was on with the other Indian guy. Ok, he's not a great commentator but he's pretty funny to listen to haha. The other Indian guy was prettyu good I felt.
Roshanrocks Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 who wants to be commentator? :dontknow: liking any commentator in ICF is blasphemy
