Andy Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Need an Internet Security for my PC. Which doesnt slow down and is effective as the best. My Two important needs are Antivirus and Firewall. If any member has an idea or two please share.

Nova Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I am still using the inbuilt firewall of Win XP in combination with Symantec Antivirus (corporate edition). Have not faced any problems. The corporate edition offers the same functionality of Norton retail version, the advantage being that it is more streamlined and not heavy on resources.
Laaloo Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 For Desktop I use AVG, Spybot search and destroy and malware anti-bytes anti-malware. For Laptop, I use microsoft security essentials, Spybot search and destroy and malware anti bytes anti malware. It's been good for many months now. :D

Just saw the Rankings in some site it says Kaspersky is above AVG. So i have downloaded a pirated version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2011. But it says, the Database is Obsolate. :((

Usually the first update will be heavy & time consuming. If you do regular updates subsequently, they should be small.
