Sid Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Missed yesterdays play :(((thank god for that :--D) I see this kind of pwnage in coming innings as well :icflove:
ShahidAfridi Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 All of Indian bowlers are bowling under 130. Tanvir Ahmed who is a club cricketer troubled these saffas more and that was a even deader pitch.
fineleg Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I dont think there is a need for separate "Test 1 Day 2 discussion thread" since people will probably be tired!!! So instead of creating new thread - Here is a summary of Day-2 from Cricinfo: I can't imagine how South Africa could have dominated today more than they actually did. India have been battered and thrown aside like a cheap rag doll. added...(essentially like how a Sri Lanka would sometimes treat a Kenya or Bangladesh during one of their minnow bashing routines) Yesterday's decimation came with the rider than India would get their chance with the ball, and who knows what they could do. Well, now we know what they did.

So instead of creating new thread - Here is a summary of Day-2 from Cricinfo: You're absolutely pathetic. Why do you even bother following sport? And in particular this team? You dont like the captain. You think the batsmen suck, the bowlers suck, and the organization controlling the team is sham. What sort of perverse masochistic pleasure do you ****ing get by criticizing the team even though they've proven your ridiculous pessimism wrong several times over the last 3 years. Go to Pakistan and share your ejaculations over there. They'll appreciate you for the ****ing moron that you are.
putrevus Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 We need to stop blaming the bowlers This pitch never had so many demons as Indian batsmen made it look like , Batting collapses are nothing new for these Indian batsmen abroad , they start seeing devils in the pitch the moment they see some bounce and pace.It was first day of pitch and when you play abroad pitches are supposed to assist the bowlers in first session. It is their ineptitude which has let this team down and it should never come as surprise as they have done so many times in past.Indian team has less than 10 wins combined during the golden age of Indian batting overseas and bowlers have done their job on many occasions and or they never had any chance to do their jobs . These small totals puts so much mental pressure on the bowlers not knowingly they try too hard to get wicket every ball. These bowlers are not world beaters by any stretch but they have done reasonably well.Indian batting is supposed to be their strength and it should be able to post par scores on any kind of wickets.

yoda Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 your argument would make sense if we had picked up 4 or 5 wickets yday. but at 250 plus for 2, I say both the batting and bowling have been abject failures so far.
kabira Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 What are our options? We have been totally outplayed by Proteas who have been prepared well for this series. The pitch has lost all the juice, but still will have with new ball may be for 15-20 overs. Tomorrow Sreesanth and Ishant has to come out all guns blazing, get rid of two centurions...We need to bat tomorrow as soon as possible, whilst conditions are good... As soon as cracks widen up, odd ball will start to do something. I think Dhoni should start with SS and Ishant, 2 over each, see who is bowling better..then bring back Bhajji, Bhajji will get more with newer bowl.. SAcans can collapse as they have in past..we need to get that belief.. Even worst case scenario, SA will bat until Tea and put another 200 runs on the board..that means lead for 400 runs....Well atleast our batting can consider 2nd innings as practice game and get some batting practice :--D:--D:--D and hope for the best...
Watson87 Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Sehwag did get out of a rubbish ball, he could have left that ball but instead went for a wider delivery, he's the biggest dumb ass i know, Gambhir got out twice for me, once he edged and didn't walk should have made good use of it but even this dumb ass could only add 4 more runs. Sore losers, hope both of them make a 200+ partnership in the 2nd innings, I have faith in Dumb ass number 1 but i know Gambhir will probably take more body blows and get out thrice in 20 deliveries. Ishant looked threatening in the first session and did get a few edges but his lack of pace didn't made them carry to the fielders, the rest of the bowlers were just not of international standard, we missed ZAK badly, hope sreesanth and the new fellow gets replaced by munaf and sirry aggy\irfan.
Chaos Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 unkunt or whatever his name is... my club team which is not even that good, has better bowlers that that 19 year old. My god, aint he such a bad bowler, 122??? rofllllllllllllllll
OriginalCopy Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Think and act like the number one team in the world. For most fans it may be a lost cause, but from players point of view, they must have the confidence to survive a finite number of sessions. They must draw inspiration from their ranking, their resolve, and their history of survival against expectations. Believing deep inside you can do it is likely to translate into a better performance. Hell, we're number 1: win or lose, let's just not fold meekly!
OriginalCopy Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Stop blaming the bowlers? 1 team bowled out for 130-something. The other team is 366/2 with the fast bowlers from team 1 getting ZERO wickets on a pitch supposed to be helping them. Who should be blamed: ISI?
ravishingravi Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Next time Sreesanth bowls a half-tracker, can someone slap him? http://www.mumbaimirror.com/article/59/20101218201012180206132084a7eba9e/Next-time-Sreesanth-bowls-a-halftracker-can-someone-slap-him.html
OriginalCopy Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Ask Bhajji ... he'll be happy to oblige. (I only kick)
ravishingravi Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 ^He is just an idiot, really. I won't even go into the bowling but all this fake aggression would actually be more demoralising to the team.
Ravi. Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 @Topicmaker,Are you drunk? Our fast bowlers didnt pick one wicket in whole day. Infact they hardly bowled any bowl onto the stumps. They were just bowling slow wide half volley. This pitch has bounce but they are bloody lazy bowlers who dont bent their back.
