What a player....phenomenal figures!!! He will be a force to reckon with 1st T20 -- 4 ov 41 runs 1 wk -- 10.25 eco (Eng won) 2nd T20 -- 4 ov 29 runs 0 wk -- 7.25 eco (Aus won) 1st ODI -- 9 ov 43 runs 2 wk --- 4.77 eco (Aus won) 2nd ODI -- 9 ov 39 runs 2 wk --- 4.33 eco (Aus won) 3rd ODI -- 8 ov 27 runs 3 wk ---- 3.37 eco (Aus won) 4th ODI -- 8 ov 68 runs 1 wk --- 8.5 eco ( Eng won ) 5th ODI -- 7 ov 21 runs 2 wk ---- 3.0 eco (Aus won) Couple of times Eng won, his performance wasn't up to the mark and every time he performed Aus ended up on the winning side! 127734.jpg

Yesterday's spell was bloody awesome. He did touch 150 kmph despite being 34 yrs old but that is just secondary. The way he troubled Strauss & Prior was a treat to watch.

33 and still churning it out at 90+ mph.. a great ODI bowler..
he is just 33 ? he certainly has 2+ years of cricket left, good for Oz who are looking clueless with no world class bowler to lead

Akhtar is even better' date=' touching 95 mph at 35 :hatsoff:[/quote'] Didn't see Akhtar touching 95, he was bowling at 85 and hardly touched 90 on a few occasions and can't trust the speed guns in NZ, they had Mills in the last match touching 145kph

Akhtar is even better' date=' touching 95 mph at 35 :hatsoff:[/quote'] Maybe thats why he isn't in the playing II :giggle: LEE is absolutely marvelous bowler but ENG have often allowed him to attack at the batsmen by throwing 1st wicket to him. In 4th ODI his figures were 8-0-68-1 where he didn't pick up a wicket in his first 3 overs. Batsmen has to attack lee or else he will attack at the Batsmen
