Raghav_12 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 what was the end result of that game? that my friend is the difference between pathan and razzaq Pathan tried twice. Managed once and nearly managed once. Razzaq just tried once. Razzaq is useless in general who plays emphatic innings once in blue moon. He has been around for around 12 years and have nothing to show on his CV. Pakistan used to be good side in late 90's and it has gone downhill from the time Razzaq got associated with team. Razzaq is no where near Pathan.

LMAO...pathan is way better then razzaq...thats the funniest thing I have ever heard. Razzaq has won countless matches for pakistan....while pathan has won NONE..that says it all..razzaq is like wayyyy..i mean wayyyyyyyyyyy above pathan... he leads in runs in death overs this season...if u had a cricketing brain u would pick him in front of pathan anyday..but sadly..ur...well ur just like anyone on this site...and the reason pak was successful in the 1999 (barring the final) worldcup campaign..was because of razzaq's late hitting at the end :) he performed in every series in 2010..and in all those matches in which he performed (vs eng, southafrica, NZ) he made sure that pak won. That is why he is the most consistent death over batsmen in the world.
PakSwinger Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 now pathan is good also...but razzaq is better and everyone knows that :)
The Outsider Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 ...and the reason pak was successful in the 1999 (barring the final) worldcup campaign..was because of razzaq's late hitting at the end :) :rotfl: Razzaq played 2 innings in the lower order in the '99 WC and made 11 runs at an average of 5.5 and a strike rate of 85! He played the rest of the WC at number 3.

I don't understand how Pakistani fans can support these defectors like Rana Naved, Razzaq, Yousuf ? But may be I understand , Pakistanis usually have to choose between defectors and fixers. And justifiabily they go for defectors. Good Luck.
Jersey #10 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Australia have always been number one contenders and favorites for this WC, no doubts on that. Pakistan not so much though, they will get diagnosed very soon by even weaker teams. They are looking good against a very poor team of NZ. Whoever undermined the Indian bowlers should think twice. Indian bowlers have done decently well over the course of last 2 years. India wouldn't be a top rated side otherwise. Pace does not make one a good bowler but the variations and the quick thinking does. A bowlers with 120kph speed can do well if he bowls in the right areas. Pace bowlers will get murdered by the likes of Sehwag, Watson and Gayle. India is an imperial team when playing in home conditions. Both bowling and batting departments do well when the crowd backs them up. With the right mixture of experienced and young players, India can do wonders.

Bro, you didn't realize that Razaaq faced the world's strongest bowling attack in Dubai a few months ago? http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showpost.php?p=1309733&postcount=18
Clarke Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 It was always competitive, 3 damn games QF onwards and its anybody's trophy. Every decent (non-minnow) QF team has a chance.
Pak_Forever Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 More competitive?....how it became more competitive? Australia as ever is the most dominating team and Pakistan as ever is a very competitive team. If recent ICC events are anything to go by then teams like South Africa and India should be most worried. It's also funny how much people underestimate Pakistan, you guys actually think that they are minnows :hysterical:...and seriously who on earth compared nobody Yosuf Pathan with one of the best ODI allrounders cricket has ever produced?
Gotham Cronie Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Well this is what Pakistan have going for them: "It's difficult to gauge just how much momentum Pakistan will take into the World Cup, primarily because they are not a side that sustains winning impetus over a long period of time. They are instead a team that turns things around in a single innings or a sparkling spell. But the format of this World Cup could play to their strengths. Several major upsets aside, Pakistan are almost guaranteed a place in the quarter finals, and from that point it's three victories to the title. They may not be a side that dominates an entire six-week tournament, but few would put it past a rampant Pakistan to win three games in a row in the final stages." http://www.espncricinfo.com/new-zealand-v-pakistan-2010/content/current/story/499395.html * Pakistan is the only team to make the semi-finals of all ICC events since the 2007 World Cup
jf1gp_1 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Aus are a great side if only that had a quality spinner they would have retained the cup; in subcontinent without spinner i dont know if they can go all the way. You have to be joking if you consider Pak as a cup contender; they seem to be working well as unit after the cheats were thrown out but with such a thin bowling line up just cannot see going all the way, semis with a little luck yes.

R O F L padosi. I mean cmon now... i know yall are below par nation in every sense right now. But razzaq a great allrounder?? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:. Well if u r a minnow... even a single series win can hype up ur below par players too :hysterical::hysterical:
Zero_Unit Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 lol without the cheats amir and asif ur bowlers like wahab riaz and an injured akhtar are very average :haha: You want to know whats more funny? Their bowling attack looks healthier than ours. Joke is on us hein? Beside Zaheer and Harbajan, who the F'ing in the team looks like a decent bowler?

Aniruddha Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 so 4 out of following teams will b the strong contenders to make it to the semis 1. India 2. SA 3. Aus 4. SL 5. Pak English team can surprise rest of the strong teams in a match or two but i dont remember when they last played in sub-continental conditons
vvvslaxman Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Pakistan doesnt need 300+ scores like some weak bowling sides including India' date='WI and NZ. If Pakistan batsmen can score 250 odd runs, then they will win most games due to powerful bowling attack.[/quote'] Oh rly!! lIN the last 12 months India failed to defend 250 plus twice (Once with 3 debutant bowlers) Pakistan failed to defend 250 plus twice (both with their full strength attack) .

king2be98 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Razzaq was a defector who shunned his national team and joined ICL. I don't understand how Pakistani fans can support these defectors like Rana Naved' date=' Razzaq, Yousuf ? But may be I understand , Pakistanis usually have to choose between defectors and fixers. And justifiabily they go for defectors. Good Luck.[/quote'] They are trying to earn a living, what does any man out there want? He want to earn a decent living for himself and his family. Hence he went to the ICL, he was the best player in ICL by a country mile, he walked straight back into the Pakistan side and started where he left off. Razzaq is a class above a lot of other lower order players. There was a time where Tendulkar was his bunny as well (even Tendulkar has admitted this), sadly injury and laziness has meant his bowling has lost that zip he used to have. There were many Indian. Australian, Kiwi, West Indian players who also joined the ICL, why did they all do it? They wanted to earn some extra money. I don't care if someone chooses to do something which would be better for himself, ultimately it's their life and they have to make a living.
king2be98 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I don't read into much about what Indian or Pakistani fans say (I am Pakistani) because both sets are extremely biased and stupid. There are Pakistani fans who hail Afridi as a legend. There are Indian fans who put down Bradman's efforts to make Tendulkar look better than him. Bottomline is that Pakistan are a side who historically swing between very very poor tournaments and very good tournaments, they've not had 2 good WCs, they may do well this time around. India are a very strong ODI side, everyone fancies their bowling and if we are honest, they do often punch above their weight whereas Pakistan's attack is often over rated. I fancy a Pakistan India final, simply because both teams had a shocker last time around and they're due a good tournament.
