I'm not denying the talent' date=' but he really is not the same as before. He is getting better but we can only wait and see what he does in the QF to get an idea of where he stands.[/quote'] Yes against the SAFFERS and WINDIES WE WILL SEE HOW HE GOES

He's back and He's hungry for more runs and wickets :yess: :yess: p.s. before the start of the WC I was saying that he did'nt deserve a spot in the side due to his form.............I humbly take back my words

lets not forget the part the Indian top order is playing in his form. Their giving him good or decent platforms unlike what has been happening for the last year or so.

Yuvi justified the faith shown in him by the fans. Good performances both with the bat and the ball, what more could you ask for!

decent platform ..eerr in the last two games ,it was a different story against Ireland Score was 100/4 and against Netherlands it was 99/4.Don't know if you think these scores are decent platform . or you're talking about the form of Indian team in the last couple of years .

4-99 chasing 189 with RRR of 2.6 3-99 chasing 210 with a rrr of 4. Those are pretty decent platforms IMO. Any better than that and he wouldn't have to score those 50s.

Though Yuvi has scored 3 consecutive 50s, but he is still not back to his best or Yuvraj-self..he is still does not look that confident...he is playing work man like innings till now...when he is in full flow he will play more fluently

I'm really sorry to burst the bubble of optimism here, but Yuvraj is seriously not the cricketer he used to be. Far from it. Agreed, he's been improving VEEEERY slowly, but I'm more worried about his tuk-tuk-tuk-tuking in crunch situations in future matches. Most of his wickets have been against minnows... he's a shadow of himself in the fielding department too.. I wouldn't be clapping my hands in glee yet. Nevertheless, he's at least better than what he was a while ago.

Selfish fellow
Sadly... I somewhat agree... ...seems more like the middle order guys are inclined to hand Yuvraj his 50 rather than close the innings regardless of who's at the batting end... it's somewhat like a sick baby being given a dose of Nyquil by his mama to make him feel better... That's not the ideal way a batsman should be encouraged to bring up his 50.. but that's just my view. Go on now, bash me up for going against the tide of opinions here :(

Yeah, I think that will be his true litmus test, especially in Nagpur against SA because on a track like that, you can't afford to take too much time setting yourself in before trying to set up a big score.
