Sachinism Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Can someone do me a big favour. - I purchased 15gb internet from docomo, but it hasn't been activated on my phone and its been 8 hours since I done this. I called them up informing them that I recharged rs. 1000 and that has been updated, but not the 15gb data usage (rs. 249) I called once and they told me they can take rs. 250 from my account and use that to activate the data usage but they don't want to do that as it would be double the cost for me, so they suggested I go back to the retailer and get him to do it again. So I did that and it doesn't still work. So I call back again and the new guy speaks a million miles an hour and I believe he said he can't do that, but I'm not really sure :hmmmm: So I was hoping someone could call for me and get this sorted out coz I'm struggling with the language. Or if you have a better idea how the system works please help me I'm in ahmedabad at moment and my number is 7405267780, contact me VIA that if possible Thanks :icflove:
Ram Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Shame on you, cant speak your own language. I would hang myself if i were you. P.S; j/k, I believe this is a challenge for the resident Gujjews.
Cricketics Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 ROFL.. WELCOME TO INDIA MAN.. They will try their best to take you for a ride. Beaware..
Holysmoke Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I think it takes 24 hours to activate? your best bet would be to go back to the guy who you bought it from.. get it activated there... and leave the place only after you have seen it to be working on your comp. BTW, why did you get tata docomo? they dont have signals everywhere.. and neither do they have 3g everywhere.. i would recommend getting tata photon plus (second choice = reliance netconnect) instead.. works everywhere and has good speed. A lot of the gsm data cards dont have connectivity everywhere and even where they have connectivity they dont have speed. Get a CDMA data dongle if you can. PS - could it be that you are not getting docomo signals at home? and you're thinking its not activated?
punjabi_khota Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 ^Dude, Docomo works on 3g as well as 2g. If it doesn't find 3g, it switches to 2g.
Holysmoke Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 ^Dude' date=' Docomo works on 3g as well as 2g. If it doesn't find 3g, it switches to 2g.[/quote'] umm.. yeah. Do you know the 2g speeds here?:haha:

DomainK Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I thought customer care executives speak English if you want them to.
flamy Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 i think the racer means he cant understand english as spoken by the natives.
Aaku Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 i think the racer means he cant understand english as spoken by the natives. :omg:
The Outsider Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 The thread title reminded me of the legendary spamming flamy did during some IPL with the Tata Docomo commercial.
Sachinism Posted February 26, 2011 Author Posted February 26, 2011 @kabira cheers for that, bit it seems a long-winded process, anyways I got my friend to go back and give an add-kicking and now its sorted.
