ravishingravi Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 we never win a tournament winning all the matches . So I was hoping they would lose this one . I will take todays result , considering we wer having a off day Yup, normally our bowlers through them
sharma Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 bowling looks all over the place maybe bring in ashwin instead of pathan and hope that our long tail doesnt get exposed 4 proper bowlers along with chawla/sree and yuvi for his few overs in there should fair better than the attack we have right now. i am not too impressed with chawla as of now, sure he can take the odd wicket but he also leaks runs. he can maybe do well against SA, not even too sure against aus. maybe the team should be something like sehwag sachin gambhir kohli yuvi dhoni bhajji zak ashwin/piyush sree/piyush munaf to be honest even with these 5 bowlers i would not be too sure about our chances against the stronger teams.
Hur Rizvi Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 One thing is for sure Ajmal shehzad has made his Pakistani grand parents proud
coffee_rules Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 good advert for the game..to be decided in the last ball...thanks to Indian mediocrity... Disappointed in the end, but from 281-2, if we tied this game, it is a great for a fan...
Aaku Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!! INDIAA INDIAA INDIAAAA !!!! :yay:
ravishingravi Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 My pick is Zaheer Nehra Sree/Ashwin Bhajji I cringe as I type this, but betting on Sree to get his head right seems like a more reasonable gamble given what we have seen.
ZodiaC Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Feeling ****ing gutted. Zak bowled brilliantly in the end and poms inflicted self pwnage by taking the PP. It was so within our reach. Well played poms though. Never expected them to win/tie a match chasing here.
sandeep Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 pathetic bowling performance by India. If you can't defend 338 in home conditions, no matter how flat the track, how can you realistically expect to win the world cup?
jf1gp_1 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 One thing is for sure Ajmal shehzad has made his Pakistani grand parents proud :wall:
DomainK Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I think they got complacent after the batsmen set that huge score. But as we saw towards the end, they bowled some superb overs. One more thing, I think the Indian players will always perform well in pressure situations. This team has better nerves than most other players.
sharma Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 One thing is for sure Ajmal shehzad has made his Pakistani grand parents proud not sure pakistan was in existence back then mate, but sure, whatever floats ur boat :winky:
coffee_rules Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 cry...338 is defendable 9 out of 10 times. 1 time is the tie and it happened... Nobody should be able to win 338, even with Ireland's bowling..
NareshK Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 It was easily England's game. They completely choked at the end. India is lucky to get away with a tie but they could have won if not for a couple of sixes off Chawla and Munaf in the last couple of overs.
Hur Rizvi Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 not sure pakistan was in existence back then mate' date=' but sure, whatever floats ur boat :winky:[/quote'] Even his parents belong to Pakistan ...........
DomainK Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 This performance is nothing to be proud of. The runs were heavily scored by Sachin with contributions from Gambhir and Yuvi where the rest of the batters failed falling like nine pins. Bowlers were pathetic for most of the match and fielding was sloppy. With the exception of a couple of individual performances, we were bad on the field today.
sharma Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Even his parents belong to Pakistan ........... sidhu: even a broken clock is right twice a day
