Dhoni said that he felt it right at that time to give the balll to Nehra. He also admitted it might be wrong.Doesnt seem like Bhajji chickened out.

Did Harbhajan refuse to bowl the last over ? MSD and Nehra are being crucified all over India right now but I'm not sure that last over was their fault. IIRC didn't Bhajji previously refuse the last over in 2007 T20 WC ? Makes no sense that MSD would turn to Nehra out of the blue when Bhaji was already bowling well. Also if you take a look at that team conference before the last over you can see there was confusion and haggling going on in the middle. I got a feeling that Bhaji bailed out and left Dhoni high and dry.

He should have given it to Yusuf Pathan. This guy can fire in the darts and its hard to hit those easily, just like he did that for RR on many instances. I dont understand why Dhoni didnt see that. If Raina was there, he would have surely gone with him.
lol if Dhoni didn't go with Harbhajan bowling the last over, then why the hell would he have let Raina bowl it?

For the last time.. Bhajji was ready to bowl and had the ball in his hands..Dhoni had the last second brain fart and replaced him by Nehra..
On paper Dhoni made the right decision because a seamer should bowl the last over because lower order batsman will always fancy the spinners but as I mentioned before unfortunately the seamer was Goofy.should have taken a calculated risk of having Bhajji bowl the penultimate over

Absolutely. Tailenders always fancy themselves against spinners in the death. Our tail has hit slow bowlers out of the park to win a few close ones as well. Also I don't think Bhajji likes to get into the mindset of a "containing" bowler. He is most effective when he's psyched up to be an attacking, wicket-taking bowler. And for that we need runs to back an over of his bowling.

On topic' date=' man no one gives a spinner the last over these days and lives to tell the tale :dontknow:[/quote'] :two_thumbs_up: Meanwhile, in an alternate Universe:
Oh, No! That fool Dhoni!!!! Of all the bowlers he could choose from he had to pick a spinner to bowl the last over!!!! Is he mental???? This disease of doing things his own way is taking us down the toilet! Even Dental Nehra would have kept them from scoring 13! Can't believe this fool is still captain! schit for brains!!!

and then Duplex (or whatever)
:hysterical: But yeah, I don't think Bhajji chickened out. Dhoni was the one who wanted Nehra to bowl the last over. He even admitted that it 'MAY have been a wrong move'

I clearly remember Bhajji chickening out of bowling the last over of T20 world cup final against Pak' date=' which was famously bowled by Joginder Sharma. [b']I saw reluctance on his face yet again in bowling the final over. Nehra must never bowl for India again and if Dhoni does not play Ashwin in the match against WI, his sorry as.s must be replaced as captain.
Awesome. From a TV angle you can read a player's intentions and thoughts? Cool, do you do lip readings, palm reading and psychic clairvoyent therapy as well? What's your hotline number?
