vvvslaxman Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Best Avge Best Economy Rates Best strike rates I am not sure what exactly Yusuf Pathan is bringing to the table in terms of bowling. Leg spinners rule in all categories.
vvvslaxman Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Today when Simon hughes said Bhajji had to learn from Swann, Sidhu was all going nuts :cantstop:
Karan114 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Bhajji himself said he followed Swann's blueprint to succeed in SA...not sure what Sidhu was getting so angry about http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/story/500878.html Anyways, some pretty dreadful statistics from an Indian perspective. Even Irish, Bangladesh, Canadian and Dutch spinners are ahead of our "specialist spinners" though at least Yuvi has had some success
yoda Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 this is terrible. wonder if there is a ranking on the confidence factor. :hehe:
vvvslaxman Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 spin is supposed to be our strong suit :((

asterix Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 spin is supposed to be our strong suit :(( There's a MASALA NEWS on TOI which says that Cheeka and Dhoni are at loggerheads about the team selection of the next match. It seems Dhoni is keen to play Chawla but BCCI, Selectors etc are asking him to select R Ashwin. Raina is confirm to play. N Srinivasan was also in the meeting at the team hotel.. Not sure if there's any truth in that news. I'm okay with either Chawla or Ashwin. I don't want Dhoni to be pissed off and screw up Goddy's WC campaign. Allow him to do whatever he likes. He'll be sorted once the WC is over..
cowboysfan Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 ****ing depressing and disgraceful that our trump card have been trumped up every one else and their grandma.
vvvslaxman Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Two south african spinners are ahead of all Indian spinners in everywhich way
Sid Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 This is a big slap on the face of Bhajji,so called great spinner is behind Seelar and even Davison :cantstop:,when it comes to average and strike rate .Absolutely pathetic.
Karan114 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 This is a big slap on the face of Bhajji' date='[b']so called great spinner is behind Seelar and even Davison :cantstop:,when it comes to average and strike rate .Absolutely pathetic. :((
vvvslaxman Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Fact that three of the matches were against minnows the figures are even more appalling
Sid Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Most disappointing part of bhajji's bowling was he didnt even looked like taking wickets, toothless bowling. But it was good to see him flighting the ball against Saffers, hope he continous to do that in future matches.
kabira Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 What is the average run rate scored for each bowler. If average run rate was 4 and economy rate is 3.5 is not that great. But if Average run rate is more than 5 and you go just over 4, thats not too bad.
The Realist Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 That is a pathetic indictment of India's "bowling resources". Playing at home and that's the best they can come up with, oh dear. If H.Singh was a footballer he would been have been booted out of any team by now, a striker with those stats would not continously get picked. We knew the bowling was bad but those figures illustrate the depth of the poverty of the bowlers. Just cannot expect to win any tournament when the bowling is that bad.
Switchblade Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Harbhajan in general has been a massive flop in the ICC TOURNAMENTS IF YOU WANT TO COUNT FROM 2007 WC THEN CT 2009 AND RIGHT NOW A GUY LIKE TREDWELL IS TAKING WICKETS IN HIS FIRST MATCH IN THE WC BUT OUR GUYS DIDNT AT BANGALORE OR HERE IN DELHI IN 5 MATCHES HE HAS 4 WICKETS WHICH IS QUITE POOR WHEN U ARE CONSIDERED THE STRIKE BOWLER ALONG WITH ZAK PLUS U ARE CALLED THE BEST IN THE WORLD
Switchblade Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 @Dhon Hey its not fair man i thought of changing my avtar to Undertaker:(( had put up Micheal Coles avtar for a few hrs maybe my fav Jericho would be cool:--D
Karan114 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 But it was good to see him flighting the ball against Saffers' date='hope he continous to do that in future matches.[/quote'] I wouldn't bank on it, he does it occasionally and then goes back to his usual *****y darts...the excuse for him earlier was that batsmen are looking to "see him off" but it is desperately embarrassing for such an experienced bowler to be so completely outbowled by even unknown spinners in such a major tournament, at home.
