Asoka Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 "Ahmedabad does itself a disservice by booing Ponting" Win with Grace, Lose with Humility should be our motto. Thoughts?
King Tendulkar Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 They clapped his ton. But bood him at ceremomny. He deserves to be bood and gets bood in england as well. Maybe there is a reason he gest bood?

He doesn't deserves it, not after that knock and he's a champion player. Pathetic stuff from you, didn't expect that from you.
Laaloo Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 He doesn't deserves it' date=' not after that knock and he's a champion player. Pathetic stuff from you, didn't expect that from you.[/quote'] What about after claiming a catch which clearly bounce at least 2 inches away from him?
someone Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 This is called 12th man. Wonder how will these soft supporters or players react when they were football players and went to players like Anfield, Old Tratford.
cowboysfan Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I hate ponting and respect him,no problem with the booing.
Watson87 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 What about after claiming a catch which clearly bounce at least 2 inches away from him? For that he deserves to be boeod, seriously you guys just try to find a reason to hate him. This is getting annoying with all the Ponting hatred. What was the original decision? Was it given out?
Cricketics Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I think Indian crowd has been like this. Not just in Ahmedabad, but all over India i can say. Our crowd often lack or don't know when to boo and when honor. This is something i have seen very common wherever we go in India. It sucks though.
ganeshran Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 In this match Ricky didnt deserve to be booed , he played very well and led from the front. But his attitude (especially the catch incident with Steven Smith) and his temperament throught the tournament wasn't good. Still the crowd shouldnt have booed him during the presentation. Sorry Watto bhai

asehgal Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 He lost my respect after he tried to claim a catch that bounced 2 ft ahead of him. There was no way he could not have known. However, that does not make his booing right or deserved.
asterix Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 The booing was not on..He doesn't deserves this.. :headshake:
Cricketics Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 England crowd consistently bood him as well! true but that crowd often stands up an applaud too mos of the time. I don't know there is something about our crowd that we don't appreciate a play much ones there is a negative news about a particular player in INdia.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 The booing was not good. Pwnting played an incredible innings and he deserved better.
vvvslaxman Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 They should have shown little class.. even for Punter. You have won it.. why don't you celebrate it gracefully like a true sports fan.
yoda Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I don't like it. A champion player, could be his last ODI, definitely his last WC game, deserved better than that.
