sandeep Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 This is the ONE thing that's bothering me. rationally speaking, i feel good about our chances - except for this. then again, averages are calculated AFTER the fact, not before. Each game has its own set of odds - history is just that, history. If Pakistanis score < 295, i think we win. If we set more than 310 or so, we win. The only risk we have is top order stumbles. As long as we don't get that, we should be all-right...

Ranjha Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I only believe in law of averages in consecutive games because its human body and its get tired, fatigued etc. I dont believe in history making us lose. In fact, it will only give us more confidence.
Show_stopper Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I'm not a big believer in law of averages. pakistan has been lucky enough against teams that don't play spin well that their spinners have ruled. We all know that won't work against us. Oh and about their game against SL...we all know games in SL D/N get decided by the toss!! Infact it tells us how poor Pak was vis-a-vis SL that got close enough to their target!! Usually teams lose by around 100+ runs in SL D/N games. It happened with Pak too against NZ. And as our padosis have been shouting- happened with us too against NZ last year when we were bowled out for 88 (we did return the favor to NZ when they chasing in the next round of that series when they were chasing). India is much more mentally stronger. Pakistan is kind of a team that runs on momentum in a match. Just upset Afridi.. everything will fall in place. You will see utter chaos .
